Terri Schiavo's Husband: Jeb Bush 'Put Me Through Hell'

Wow, the raw opinion of people who wanted their way. That's a great legal argument.

Better than your argument, that's for sure, which is kill her.

I said government should "kill her?" Can you show me that quote?

BTW, you can't "kill" someone who's dead...

It's a strawman, I said what happens to her body after she died should have been up to her husband.

I disagree completely. He didn't care about her at all obviously. He wasn't even present when she passed on, genius.

"He wasn't even present"? Really?

The 41-year-old woman died in her Pinellas Park, Fla., hospice at 9:05 a.m. EST, nearly 14 days after doctors removed the feeding tube that had kept her alive for 15 years. Her husband, Michael Schiavo, held her in his arms as she took her final breaths, his attorney said.

Okay, my mistake. First I heard of that. But upon reading your link, I see that he threw her parents out of the room. He wanted her dead and out of the way and wanted to collect the insurance money. That much is obvious to anyone with a functioning brain cell. Perhaps you are brain dead? :D
Stop lying. There was no insurance money.

She wasn't a flat liner like Terri. No flat liner has ever woken up. Just the term, "wakes up." When you sleep, the implication, you dream. People in a coma dream. Flat liners don't. To dream, you have to have brainwaves. You know what they measure when they analyze dreamers? Brainwaves...

You're ******* wrong. She was not a "flat liner." She could breath on her own, and her heart was still beating.

In Terri Schiavo's case, EECs were performed by independent medical examiners assigned by state courts. And they showed that her brain waves were essentially flat— with an extremely low level of electrical activity from the brain stem, but otherwise showing no brain activity and no thoughts .

Breathing and heart beating are autonomic functions, and she had no brain waves, you can't change that fact, you can just ignore it, which you keep trying to do.

People who are "flat liners" cannot breathe on their own because the brain controls those functions.

Bull. She was not brain dead. Not by any means. Multiple people reported her "responses" to stimuli. A brain dead person can NOT respond. She still had brain function. Period. End of story. She was murdered by her husband out of greed and selfishness. Period. There is no valid argument you can make against that. She was not in pain, she was awake, and her parents wanted to continue to care for her. Your excuses are LAME.

I didn't make any "excuses." I said it's up to her husband, that I'm making "excuses" doesn't even make sense. She married him, she died, it's up to him. I even pretty much agree with you he seems like a slime bucket. That isn't a basis for the law, however. What am I supposed to even be making "excuses" for?

How about this woman who just woke up hours before being disconnected?

Her name is Teri.

Mother, 56, wakes HOURS before her life support machine was due to be turned off
  • Teri Roberts, 56, was struck down by streptococcal toxic shock syndrome
  • She slipped into coma, her limbs turned black and her organs began to fail
  • Family reached devastating decision to switch off her life support machine
  • But just four hours before they had planned to do so, Mrs Roberts awoke
  • 'She just magically woke up,' overjoyed son, Ryan, told a press conference
  • After she woke up, Mrs Roberts was forced to have quadruple amputation
  • Now, she is focused on future - and is determined to 'walk and drive again'

If she was still breathing without the help of a machine, then she was not "brain dead." She was severely retarded. Brain dead people are hooked up to machines because they're brains aren't making any connections with the rest of the body, such as the heart, lungs, etc.

If I am ever in her state then I hope you people are ignored and they give me a shot and end it. Especially if you are right that she had awareness. Though she obviously didn't.

Look, if she was in pain and suffering, I would agree, but she wasn't suffering until they disconnected her feeding tube. That CAUSED her to suffer.

I disagree completely. He didn't care about her at all obviously. He wasn't even present when she passed on, genius.

You disagree that he was her husband? You lost me.

WTF are you talking about? I disagree that he would be making the best decisions for her. Her parents should have been the decision makers, not her POS cheating husband.

You can't cheat on a dead wife

That's such a load of crap. Just because they were married does NOT mean he cared about her. Not at all. I'm sure there are plenty of married people who wish their spouses were dead. Lol.

It was hard to follow your convoluted logic, I did my best. You said my argument is that someone should kill her. I didn't know who I was advocating should kill her, particularly since my argument wasn't that anyone should kill her. In fact, I said my personal opinion is he should have left her to her parents. But that doesn't change the fact she was dead in every way except she was breathing and her heart was beating.

I always find it odd how Christians who are supposed to be focused on the soul are so obsessed with an empty shell.

Derp. Her HUSBAND. Sorry that you can't follow along.

OK, now show where I said her husband should kill her

Wow, he must have been a hell of an actor, then?
You fell for it. Not that that's saying much.

Back when this happened, I was one of you Right Wingers screaming the loudest about this.

I even came up with a really clever comparison about how "libs" would be screaming if we did this to a prisoner at Gitmo, because that's what they were upset about at the time.

Today, I realize that all the anti-abortion shit, all the right to life shit, all the gun control shit and all the gay marriage shit is just attempts to keep stupid people voting against their own economic interests while the rich get richer.

I refuse to be fooled, like you do.

End of the day, she still died. But a lot of you I suspect will get behind BUsh because he took this stand, even though he would be as about as disasterous for working folks as his Dad and Brother were.

She didn't die. She was killed. Murder by the state. Murder by her husband.

They starved her to death. They dehydrated her to death. My Lord, as compassionate human beings as we are supposed to be we wouldn't even allow an animal to die like that.

It's beyond reprehensible. It is beyond appalling. It is horrific beyond words.

And yet here we are today and people are still attempting to justify how they let this woman die.

you make a good point. If my dog got sick and i put him down myself the same liberals would be accusing me dog abuse.

If this jerk had cared for her one bit, he would have let her go with her parents. He cared about the life insurance money and starting a new life. I'm sure he knew that disconnecting her feeding tube was going to be an awful way for her to die, but he didn't care, as long as she was dead and no longer a "burden" to him.
He felt differently. He felt she would not want to remain in that condition. And here's the beauty of it .... it was his call to make, not yours.

Last "days?"

Well, if you agree that this was the "right" thing to do, then you are obviously siding with her husband here. Lol. Now, I want you to explain to me what harm it would have done to her husband to let the parents care for their child during her last days, considering she was not in pain.

Why were they not allowed to care for their daughter who they loved unconditionally. Personally, I would trust the parents to do what is best for their child rather than some cheating POS so-called husband.

That's what you get for suspecting. I already said I didn't like Jeb Bush. But I don't like Hillary either. Guess you moon are better find someone more worthy for me to get behind.

Wow, that didn't make a lick of ******* sense.
No? Neither does anything you rant about... So we are even.

That's only because of your poor reading comprehension skills you gained in Home Skule. but you are right with Jesus.
No.. I'm pretty sure it's because you are a moonbat. And rant about useless crap.

Right, again you set the trap

You can't remove the feeding tube, that would be cruel.

No, you can't giver her a shot to end it.

Ergo, you win.

I reject the trap. Pick.

yes. How long do you think the average survival is for a person in that condition? Not very long. She was a very sick woman.

I already posted a link with eyewitness accounts from her priest, parents and friends. She was in pain when they disconnected her feeding tube. She was allowed to starve for 2 weeks. Ever feel hungry before?

None of this changes the fact that her husband could have divorced her and granted her parents the right to care for their child. Even if she was an adult and married, she is still THEIR child. They would make the best decisions for her.

Her husband was having an affair. He should have divorced her. That's all there is to it. He was wrong.

Catholic religion had a major influence on Terri's parents' meddling.
