Terri Schiavo's Husband: Jeb Bush 'Put Me Through Hell'

Hey, what the hell is he bitchin about? We shouldn't treat life so damn worthless. He got to pull the plug and marry his mistress. As I recall the parents were begging him not to do it, good for Jeb Bush.
Apparently because the left and libertarians think he is a good spokesman against Jeb Bush.

Too bad he is such a whiny douche that no one cares about his post murder plight.

I'm still waiting for the day these people actually bring forth someone worthy of praise. But I won't hold my breath.

Wow, the raw opinion of people who wanted their way. That's a great legal argument.

Better than your argument, that's for sure, which is kill her.

I said government should "kill her?" Can you show me that quote?

BTW, you can't "kill" someone who's dead...

It's a strawman, I said what happens to her body after she died should have been up to her husband.

I disagree completely. He didn't care about her at all obviously. He wasn't even present when she passed on, genius.

"He wasn't even present"? Really?

The 41-year-old woman died in her Pinellas Park, Fla., hospice at 9:05 a.m. EST, nearly 14 days after doctors removed the feeding tube that had kept her alive for 15 years. Her husband, Michael Schiavo, held her in his arms as she took her final breaths, his attorney said.

I hate this guy. Hopefully karma catches up to him one of these days.

Something far worse will.

Before the settlement he was pretending he wanted to become a nurse and take care of her for the rest of his life.

Wow, he must have been a hell of an actor, then?
You fell for it. Not that that's saying much.

Back when this happened, I was one of you Right Wingers screaming the loudest about this.

I even came up with a really clever comparison about how "libs" would be screaming if we did this to a prisoner at Gitmo, because that's what they were upset about at the time.

Today, I realize that all the anti-abortion shit, all the right to life shit, all the gun control shit and all the gay marriage shit is just attempts to keep stupid people voting against their own economic interests while the rich get richer.

I refuse to be fooled, like you do.

End of the day, she still died. But a lot of you I suspect will get behind BUsh because he took this stand, even though he would be as about as disasterous for working folks as his Dad and Brother were.

She didn't die. She was killed. Murder by the state. Murder by her husband.

They starved her to death. They dehydrated her to death. My Lord, as compassionate human beings as we are supposed to be we wouldn't even allow an animal to die like that.

It's beyond reprehensible. It is beyond appalling. It is horrific beyond words.

And yet here we are today and people are still attempting to justify how they let this woman die.

you make a good point. If my dog got sick and i put him down myself the same liberals would be accusing me dog abuse.

If this jerk had cared for her one bit, he would have let her go with her parents. He cared about the life insurance money and starting a new life. I'm sure he knew that disconnecting her feeding tube was going to be an awful way for her to die, but he didn't care, as long as she was dead and no longer a "burden" to him.

I think it would have been more merciful to give her a hot shot, but given she was brain dead, it really didn't make THAT much of a difference.

The only reason why I think the judge would have sided with the husband is because he was the husband. He thought the same as a lot of you seem to think, that the parents have no say in their daughter's life because she was married. Well, I don't believe that. They will always be her parents, regardless of whether or not she is married, and I would trust their unconditional love over a man who was cheating on her.

1) He wasn't cheating on her.
2) Other people she knew confirmed that she wouldn't want to be kept alive under such circumstances.
3) Such decisions are given to spouses for a reason.
Terri's own family encouraged him to start dating and to move on with his life.

So WHAT? Is he a little baby incapable of keeping his own vows. Okay, I'm going to tell you to go cheat on your wife now. It's okay. :D
His wife was dead for all intent and purposes. Her family had even accepted that and wanted him to get on with his life.

That's what you get for suspecting. I already said I didn't like Jeb Bush. But I don't like Hillary either. Guess you lefties and libertarians better find someone more worthy for me to get behind.

Yeah, playing the violin for a murderer is just crappy. But look at how they leaped to the defense of cop killer Tookie Williams before his execution. I'm against the death penalty, but I don't eagerly advocate for vicious killers who are getting their just desserts. Their motivation can only be understood by considering the spiritual paradigm. There is a god in this world who is the source of all that is evil and they blindly follow him and support others who do as well. In their world, abortion doctors are heroes while those who defend the right to life are villains. Cop killers are heroes while cops are villains. Their lust for all things evil can only be explained by the devil they serve.

Yes he was. If he was still married to her and sleeping with someone else, THAT is cheating.

So if you are completely incapacitated and there is no hope of recovery, you want your husband to remain isolated and alone?

Like I said, he should have divorced her. If he had wanted to move on, divorcing her and leaving her care to someone else would have been the appropriate thing to do.
Can't get a 1.5 million dollar settlement that way though.
Nonsense. There was no $1.5m settlement for him to go after.

Not only justifying... mocking. Makes me really interested in listening to anything else they have to say. Not.

Starving animals will get you a fine and a jail sentence.

Hell...making terrorists eat jail food gets progressives panties in a twist.

Okay, my mistake. First I heard of that. But upon reading your link, I see that he threw her parents out of the room. He wanted her dead and out of the way and wanted to collect the insurance money. That much is obvious to anyone with a functioning brain cell. Perhaps you are brain dead? :D
That would be my guess. :)

Ms. Schiavo showed signs of feeling pain, showed signs of recognition when her parents came to see her, smiled and made sounds in an attempt to communicate, had facial expressions that were in response to stimuli. That is not a brain dead person. Severely retarded and will never be the same person that she once was? Yes. However, none of you can say that she didn't or couldn't derive some kind of pleasure from life.

There would have been NO harm done to let her parents care for her until she died naturally, as she was NOT in pain when she had her feeding tube connected.

So, I guess we should just start putting retarded people and old people who suffer from dementia to death now, according to the heartless liberals who care more about animals than people.

The only other people who conveniently came up with that testimony only did so years later after he rec'd a 1,5 million dollar settlement.....and it was Michael, his brother and his sister in law. All had motive to lie.

You keep saying that, however M.S. got $300,000 not 1.5 million. The settlement was 2 million, the lawyers got about half. $750,000 was setup to pay medical bills, and M.S. received the remaining $300,000. The schism with the parents started shortly after that after refusing to give the parents a cut.

Like I said, he should have divorced her. If he had wanted to move on, divorcing her and leaving her care to someone else would have been the appropriate thing to do.
Can't get a 1.5 million dollar settlement that way though.

The malpractice case was settled long before the 1998 request to allow Terri's body to not be maintained via artificial means.

The bodies continued existence at that point had nothing to do with a case that had already been settled.

>>>>>
I know when the settlement was settled and
700,000 was put in a trust fund for Terri's medical care. He denied medical care and instead used that money to pay the legal fees he accrued trying to kill her.

The man wouldn't even let the nursing home treat a urinary tract infection.
Now you're flat out lying. The money went into trust for her medical expenses, which were enormous.

Wow, that didn't make a lick of ******* sense.
No? Neither does anything you rant about... So we are even.

None of your excuses for this man's heartless behavior towards this woman's parents are valid. There is absolutely no reason why he could not divorce her and leave her to her parents' care. No reason at all, except that he didn't want her around anymore. Perhaps that helped to quell some of his guilt for cheating on his wife.

Not to mention being responsible for her condition to begin with as the Schindlers testified.

More like getting rid of a witness while using her to garner a big payday.
