Terri Schiavo's Husband: Jeb Bush 'Put Me Through Hell'

I'm not sure what this has to do with Terri Schiavo's corpse being taken off life support, but...

snopes.com Mike Brown Beating Video

The footage seen here was originally posted to the Internet back in 2012, when Brown was just 16, under original title "only in Woodland City." The video was apparently taken at a large apartment complex in Dallas, Texas (a state in which Mike Brown never lived), called Woodland City Apartments:

I can understand your confusion. I'm sure they all look the same to you.

She wasn't a corpse, and she wasn't on life support. She was breathing on her own and her own heart was beating by itself.

Why do you Leftists have to lie about this? Can you ever stop lying?

Ever?
When the mind is gone, the person is dead even if the body lives on.

Not true. I know of one story in particular where a man was in a coma for 19 years and woke up. He was considered "brain dead."
The exception makes the rule. There is absolutely no reason to keep someone alive that long, not a one.

It would have harmed nobody to let the parents take her home and let her die naturally. She was not in pain or suffering while her feeding tube was in.
If would have harmed her, and her wishes.

Terri was a flat liner, she was not in a "coma." People in comas have brainwaves.

She wasn't brain dead, you idiot. Do you even know what PVS is?

A persistent vegetative state is a disorder of consciousness in which patients with severe brain damage are in a state of partial arousal rather than true awareness. It is a diagnosis of some uncertainty in that it deals with a syndrome. Persistent vegetative state - Wikipedia the free encyclopedia

Not brain dead, Leftist. Stop lying.

Note nowhere do you show she had brainwaves. Which you can't since she didn't.

Show:

1) She had brainwaves

2) Anyone with no brainwaves who has come back

She responded to people with smiles and sounds. How is that "brain dead?"

These idiots are proudly displaying their ignorance throwing around terms like "brain dead" while not knowing what it actually means. A brain dead person is truly dead and cannot recover. They can't breath, pump their own blood, or do anything else. They're dead. That isn't PVS. I feel like I'm talking to raging morons here.

I didn't use the term "brain dead" and I did define what I meant. She had no brainwaves.

The point here is, you do not have the right to determine if someone else's life is worth living or not.

No, but legal guardians do, and Michael was a legal guardian.

Here's my thing about this case. I don't have much use for EITHER side. Schiavo was happy to keep her in this brain-dead state until he got the big settlement from the hospital. Forget for the moment that she really did this to herself by going on a radical diet and she was probably brain-dead when she got there. Then he wanted to pull the plug when he got the money.

Her parents let themselves get tied in with the religious nuts and politicians who used this case to advance an agenda.

Nope, since she did not have a living will, all you can do is speculate. You have no idea what she would have wanted.

She had no brainwaves.

The reaction was physiological. There has been only tapes spliced of her "reacting." There as never been an uncut version over significant time without more than random reactions. Why do you suppose that is?

Right, a brain dead person cannot breathe on their own. They need a ventilator to breathe for them.
Brian dead means that while the lower functions of the brain-stem are working, the higher level functions, the mind, no longer is. Like it not, she was dead before she hit the floor.

I disagree with the part about her parents. They LOVED her. She responded to them. They wanted to take her home and care for her until she died. I don't see anything wrong with that unless she had a living will that specified she wanted them to pull the plug.

You posted about "brain damage." I am not seeing either that she had brainwaves or anyone with no brainwaves has come back.

Was he in the right legally and scientifically when he put her in a coma to begin with? Or do you really believe a husband with a history of domestic abuse had nothing to do with it?

Do you have a link to any report of domestic abuse? Any police reports?

Also, do you think that the lawyers for the hospital who ended up paying 2 million were so inept that they were unable to find these obvious signs of abuse? Best way to not pay him two million was to prove HE put her into the coma. You think that would have occurred to them, right?

Her husband knew, and even if he didn't, it was his call and his call alone to make. Now you know.

She was not in pain because she was brain-dead.

She was not in pain or suffering when she died, either. Because she died a long time before that.

And the law is that it was then the choice of her widower husband, not her parents.

The idiot keeps saying "she had no brain waives" as if repetition turns error into fact.

A wakeful unconscious state that lasts longer than a few weeks is referred to as a persistent (or 'continuing') vegetative state

The vegetative state is a chronic or long-term condition. This condition differs from a coma: a coma is a state that lacks both awareness and wakefulness. Patients in a vegetative state may have awoken from a coma, but still have not regained awareness. In the vegetative state patients can open their eyelids occasionally and demonstrate sleep-wake cycles, but completely lack cognitive function. The vegetative state is also called a "coma vigil". The chances of regaining awareness diminish considerably as the time spent in the vegetative state increases.[8]

How do you know pain is not a physiological response like a heartbeat? Understanding pain clearly requires brainwaves, but I don't see how you state as fact she didn't feel it.

I'm still not seeing flat liners addressed, only brain damage. She was a flat liner.
