Tenn. Officer Kills Attacker In Her Home | The Daily Caller
This thug scum waited at night for this female officer to get home from work. He ambushes her and tries to kill her. She wins. Dirt naps his sorry ass. She says she's never seen him in her life. Not an ex. She's never arrested him.
Just a thug targeting a female cop at her home.[...]
Just a thug targeting a female -- period. Any evidence he knew she was a cop? If not, what we have is an
armed citizen defending against criminal aggression.
If more citizens were armed there would be a lot less street crime.
You bet. That`s why the UK and Japan have so little street crime. Everybody is packing and yes Mike, I`m making fun of your uncomplicated thinking.
There is absolutely no comparison between the essential social natures of Japan, the U.K, and the U.S.
Americans are an essentially violent people, which is why we are the world's #1 military power. That is no accident. This nation was born in the barrel of a cannon and guns are an indelible component of our culture. The advent of repressive gun control, which began with the banning of the Thompson submachine gun, which was openly sold in the Sears/Roebuck catalog, was a big mistake. That started a progression of gun laws which has enabled the rise of street crime which is unparalleled in other advanced cultures.
If the innumerable gun laws affecting American citizens were never passed, by now the vast majority of street criminals would either be dead or soon would be. And while there would be occasional misuse it would not be as commonplace as it is today. And there is no question that Americans would be much more polite than they are now.
The outstanding problem with guns today is public ignorance -- which is the direct result of the repressive gun laws. The vast majority, and I mean damn near
all, anti-gun Americans know nothing about guns, they are
afraid of them, and they probably are not inclined to defend themselves under any circumstances, anyway.
There are only two ways for a society to function well and safely where guns are concerned; either totally ban guns or limit gun laws to the bare minimum. This in-between situation we have going on here is counterproductive.
