Ted Nugent Is A True American Patriot

Ted Nugent is a war hawk who pissed his pants to get out of serving in Vietnam. That's how much of a patriot he is.

Lie. Absolutely no proof this happened.

He got a student deferment. He showed up for his medical exam, so by definition he didn't avoid the draft. Bill Clinton also got the same deferment and ya'll don't consider him a draft dodger. A legal way to avoid the draft.

He said he was fucking with the reporter when he said he snorted cocaine to fail the physical. That was a lie. There is ZERO medical history showing that he did any of this stuff.
He lost his student deferment.

Nugent's student deferment went away for reasons that are not clear. Jennifer Burke, also with the Selective Service System, told Fact Checker that common reasons could be "he a) finished school or finished the semester, b) was not a full-time student, maintaining good grades, or c) did not return to school for whatever reason."

Given Nugent was a touring musician, b or c are likely candidates.

Regardless, it's clear the initial student deferment was legal. Nugent has said it was given so he could attend Oakland Community College.

Nugent then got a second deferment. Because he failed his military medical exam, he was reclassified as 4-F, or unfit for service.

So everything hinges on that medical exam. If he faked a bad result, he's a draft dodger. If he didn't, he's not.

"By way of clarification," Burke said about 4-F qualifications, "the 'physical' category included psychiatric disorders; 'mental' related to solely intelligence test scores; 'moral' was determined by the registrant's court record."

The records have since been deystroyed.

I provided a clear rebuttal. The fact that you don't even attempt to refute a single part of it says everything.

For instance, if Nugent had a legitimate medical issue why didn't he seek a medical deferment right out of the gate? And if it was a lie back in the 70's, why so damn elaborate? And why did he mention using drugs if he really didn't?

But the biggest thing, either he was lying then or he is lying now. Which time did he have the most to gain by lying. NOW.
Winston it was the late 60's when there wasn't a draft lottery. They called us at random.

Here's an interesting article, some is what you've posted but also this one is about other rock band member's back then.
