Not the point, he's proposing going through the system the right way, contrary to your dear leaders unilateral actions.
He's proposing irrelevance. Like he pretty much always does. With the exception of his brief moment in the sun in shutting the government down in 2013, he's one of the least influential men in Washington. With virtually none of his policies actually enacted.
Of course your dear leader has nothing to do with that, right?
It was Cruz's baby. With his allies describing themselves as 'giddy' at the shut down. With Cruz promising that the defunding of Obamacare with the shutdown would be easy. And demanding that the GOP continue the shutdown.
Oh, he burned so many bridges with that move. Which is why he's been sidelined, shut out of any role of significance or decision making in the GOP. He bulled the shutdown through, dropped the GOP approval ratings to the lowest of any party....ever. And got exactly dick accomplished. If you're going to force your will down the throat of your own party, you damn well better be competent enough to win.
And Cruz wasn't.
And since then, Cruz has gotten nothing. Not even table scraps. He's passed no bills, had no significant policy victories, done....nothing.
Which is exactly where he should be.
