I see this at all levels of government. The Tea Party people came into office on a protest, not on much of a plan, and now that they're in office and reality is settling in, they're doing one of two things: sitting still and frozen solid like a lame duck, or letting reality sink in and then backing off from much of their past rhetoric.

I cant recall any law that began "when signed"...

Laws go into effect when they are published, which comes right after POTUS signs.

You claimed they cut the spending cuts in half because the fiscal year is half over. You were wrong.

When I pointed out that the FY was only 3 months in (I originally said 4 months by mistake), you then, unable to admit defeat, invented the claim that there was some kind of waiting period. You were wrong
