Remember last year when trump had the police attack peaceful protesters with tear gas so he could stand in front of a church holding a bible upside down then denied he used tear gas?

He was lying again.

So what?1 Tear gas has been used on protestors for decades now. So much tear gas was used at the `1972 GOP convention in Miami Beach that even Nixon felt the effects of the gas when he was walking into the convention hall

Hey. Genius. When the President of the United States has a path laid out by the Secret Service, they have the responsibility to avoid what happened to Martin Luther King, JFK, RFK and Reagan.

You have it backwards. Half the job of the secret service is to tell the president where they can't provide adequate security. Which was the excuse Trump gave for not visiting the Belleau Wood marine, cemetery in Germany.

Trump chose to go into the belly of the beast against all advice, and the secret service was forced to use extraordinary (read as illegal) means to carry out clearing Lafayette park prior to the curfew.

Actually, it wasn’t the SS that told him not to go the cemetery...it was a weather issue and the air crew had issues

The Secret Service didn’t clear out the park...it was other federal agents and DC police that cleared the park of violent inserrectionist that had attempted to over throw the White House, had already broke in the dept of tres, and had burned a church down.

But....but....but....they had reason to do so.
