I agree, Trumps Republican Party is quite committed to fighting for good real core Americans, they’re steadfast in fighting to keep western/American culture alive and thriving, fighting to keep the moral order intact, fighting to protect and preserve the very things that made this nation exceptional once upon a time….You’re happy about that…right?

You can see DOGE is finding waste. And there is more. They are not using a scalpel, yet they are not going full speed ahead either. We also have state, local and city governments. That is the sad thing of if we ever have full national health insurance. The waste will be epic. And people ruin it for themselves.

I think this angle is vastly overplayed by libs. It assumes voters are completely self-centered. I suspect MAGA voters, even most of those who are negatively impacted by DOGE, believe it's worth it to push back on what Democrats have been building.

It is simple. The reason Democrats created all these programs is because they believe in using the government to fight the culture war. They think they can use the power of the state to make people better. But they fail to consider that "better" is entirely subjective, and that when others take the reigns they'll use the power, that Democrats created, to push us in a different direction.

The only way to keep the other side from ramming its values down your throat is to remove the government's ability to dictate societal norms in the first place, so that neither side can use it to force their idea of the "good life" on the rest of us. The government should protect our freedom to create the kind of society we want, voluntarily, collaboratively - without resorting to the force of law to get our way.

Isn't that what DOGE is doing?
