It was Trump that raised the tariffs and Xi followed and then it was Trump that reached out to Xi to talk and it was Trump that lowered the tariffs. They tariffs came down 100% for both sides but it was Trump that had everyone in the world, including his own people that were criticizing him. He wants to feed his ego and the China Tariffs were doing the exact opposite. He caved in.

More favorable terms? Bullshit. He got nothing of any consequence. Show me where he got something that was worthwhile. Xi is the big winner because he can keep selling stuff to Americans at a low price, which they will buy.

That’s a win, also China’s economy stood to lose a lot more than the US economy. The US is by far China’s biggest customer. We also have China paying 20% more for their good than we are and gave China an incentive to help control the fentanyl coming into the US.
