Couple things toob: the new tariffs are global, right? So, a tariff on everything that was imported? And 10% is a lot lower than it was, plus it's only good for 150 days. Wonder what he'll do when the 150 days are up? Extend them somehow maybe.

As you say, his tariffs did not lead to serious inflation, I think mostly cuz the end result was a lot lower than it appeared on Liberation Day. Were we not told the tariffs would raise around $500 billion in the 1st year? Actually, it was somewhere around $280 billion so the impact on inflation wasn't Ially wasn't. My opinion is, we got played.

It was 274% more than anything before this went into effect...So, it is a big deal...

But, the question is a big one....Why is it ok for other countries to charge us a tariff, and put up barriers to trade from the US, but, it's not ok to charge them tariff's?

We ain't charging other countries anything. Instead, those tariffs are mostly paid by US importers who pass the higher cost onto American consumers. Which BTW is not popular here, the disapproval for Trump's tariffs is significantly greater than the approval rating.

American import duties (tariffs) can be set=zero as soon as other Countries set=zero on American goods.
