Tariff ruling.

According to Scott Bessent “there are numerous other avenues” the administration can take, even though “they diminish President Trump’s negotiating position.”

Suspension of reality is a feature, not a bug, of the regime.
No......suspension of reality is a main feature of the left.

Hey....the Dow is at 50,000.....asshole.
Juicing the economy and corporate profits with a deficit inducing tax cut is tried and true POT policy. The King of Debt did it during trump 1.0 as well.

This means the end of USMCA. Canada is in trouble due to this ruling an it does not impact his tariffs against our steel, aluminum and perhaps lumber.

FFS. Your S.C do not know what is at stake. The rest of the world is fleecing you and blocking your companies ability to compete while they HAPPILY allow China to employ slave labour.

Government is inflationary. Tariffs are nothing more than corporate taxes passed on to consumers.

Trump is going to have to find another way to protect America.

I would issue a $ 1 billion-per-item license fee to import into America.
So how come inflation is slowing if tariffs raise prices? They dont because we dont have to buy and a manufacturer must sell or go broke. They pay the tariff by lowering prices.

The president has the power to impose a license on any nation that exports to us at any cost

He will be out soon. No one likes him on either side. And now with Tony Gonzales being pressured to quit over ******* staff members (a definite violation of Congressional rules) that would leave no majority, and there is no way in Hell Johnson would win again. I've even seen talk of Republicans joining Democrats to get him out.

I didn't say they were rising because of tariffs.

I said that inflation is caused by the government. INflation is too many dollars chasing to few goods.

Tariffs are nothing more than a tax levied against corporation that are then passed to the consumer.

Much like Congress raiding the income taxes on corporations. It is nothing more than a tax on the poorest citizens in America.

Remember that everything the Supreme Court issues is a legal OPINION.....not a fact.

If their judgement of flawed, so are their rulings.
agreed, but it does mean it is the law of the land until otherwise decided...but that is aside from the point I am making, things are so dire that the white liberals are starving for anything they can cling to as a victory so the media has thrown them a bone by pretending this is a victory of sorts.

Trump thought he, and he alone, could determine when emergency powers are warranted
Merely by saying there is an emergency, Trump thought he could do what he wants

A terrible ruling. Completely wrong.
How's the Queens hustler feeling about having his ass handed back to him by SCOTUS? Got the "sads"?

But hey, as a consolation prize Trump's 3 court jester's, stooges & asslickers Thomas, Alto & Kavanaugh disented.

So much WINNING! :abgg2q.jpg:

He has the power to force any nation that exports to us to buy a license. The costs will equal the tariffs. Nothing changes

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court struck down President Donald Trump’s far-reaching global tariffs on Friday, handing him a significant loss on an issue crucial to his economic agenda.

The 6-3 decision centers on tariffs imposed under an emergency powers law, including the sweeping “reciprocal” tariffs he levied on nearly every other country.

It’s the first major piece of Trump’s broad agenda to come squarely before the nation’s highest court, which he helped shape with the appointments of three conservative jurists in his first term. Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh dissented.

This puts some serious hurt on to trump. He was his tariffs to exact revenge on countries like Canada. He was violating the Constitution.

Article I Section VIII Clause I.

The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States.

Congress NOT the White House controls the purse.
Will Trump obey the Supreme Court is the question.

Trump has as much contempt for the courts as he does the Constitution.

Yeah....forget about all of the wins the courts gave Trump earlier this year.

The Supreme Court ruled today that the Trump tariffs were unconstitutional. Justice Roberts commented saying, "The President has exceeded his powers as President, as he has unilaterally decided to raise tariffs. It's like Obamacare I ruled to be unconstitutional because it was sold to voters as not being a tax. Well, it had to be a tax to be constitutional, which is why I unilaterally changed it into being a tax, otherwise, there would be no Obamacare. Besides, we all know that the Russians got him elected, and he survived two assassination attempts, so we all know that Hitler boy should not even be President. I mean really, if we are not going to allow Trump to even close down the Department of Education, which he presides over, did you really think we would allow him to do anything really?

Yes, there is more than one way to skin a cat. :)
Trump already said that if the SC ruled against tariffs, there are other methods at his disposal. I guess the SC needs to throw Democrats a bone once a while.
