Yep, and Øbama was warned about this.

...

The mastermind of the regime change is former detainee Khairkhwa, the Taliban mullah whom Obama released from Gitmo even though the Pentagon classified him as too dangerous to release.

Earlier this year, Khairkhwa assured the administration that the Taliban would not launch a spring military offensive if Biden committed to removing all remaining American troops. He also promised not to retaliate against any Afghans who worked with the US military or the US-backed government in Kabul. But Khairkhwa showed no signs of remorse or rehabilitation inside Gitmo — if anything, he’s probably more embittered toward the United States. Why would they believe him?

Reports coming out of Kandahar and Kabul indicate the extremists have already broken their word. Taliban thugs have started a reign of terror against people who cooperated with Westerners. Guided by a “kill list,” they are going door to door to punish their enemies.

It also included the princely sum of $5million... The result if it all was that Bergdahl never spent a day in a military prison, when he should have either received life or a firing squad.
Now to the five Taliban prisoners.... They were key actors in the Afghan battle and it showed by the loses of territory after their captures.
The big question right now is why haven't Generals/Admirals risen to the podium to explain their actions in this fiasco called the "Fall of Afghanistan"?

Baradar is the political leader of the Taliban. Released by TRUMP three years ago.

Want a picture of him with Pompeo?

The Trump cultists are desperately trying to deflect from Trump's unconditional surrender to the Taliban. The GOP used to brag about that awesome diplomatic triumph on their website, but they've now quietly removed that. However, the internet remembers.

---
PRESIDENT TRUMP HAS CONTINUED TO TAKE THE LEAD IN PEACE TALKS AS HE SIGNED A HISTORIC PEACE AGREEMENT WITH THE TALIBAN IN AFGHANISTAN, WHICH WOULD END AMERICA'S LONGEST WAR
  • On February 2, 2020 , the Trump Administration signed a preliminary peace agreement with the Taliban that sets the stage to end America's longest war.
    • Under the agreement , the U.S. will withdraw nearly 5,000 troops from the country in 135 days in exchange for a Taliban agreement to not allow Afghanistan to be used for transnational terrorism.
---
Respect for those Republicans who said it was a good idea then, and say the same now. Unfortunately, that's a minority of them. Most of them are proud of being wild hypocrites here -- they tongue-bathed Trump for making the deal, now they despise Biden for keeping it.

We don't even know if they are alive, I doubt it.

Yep. And many more freed from prisons by the Taliban in the past couple of weeks.

Biden is too stupid to have done this. Obama made sure his old buddy from Gitmo was put in charge in Afghanistan.

Obama has a lot of nerve calling Biden stupid, not that he's wrong.
