Red State! Amen.
Iā€™ll use my wife as an example.

She has changed over time. She was a full fledged lib when I met her and when I married her. She has grown since those days but is still far from a conservative.

Earlier today she asked me about my thoughts concerning Trumpā€™s decision to remove secret service protection from Fauci and others. (Clearly, she thought his move was petty, dangerous and ill-advised.)

By contrast, I was surprised that Fauci even had been receiving protection from our secret service. I canā€™t really understand how he had ever merited that expensive protection. ($15 million/year??!?)

There is a genuine gap in the understandings of liberals and conservatives. And familial membership doesnā€™t bridge that gap.

I still can't understand why that political hack charlatan doctor rated being the highest paid federal employee.

There is no gap. Youā€™re both stupid fuckers arguing over nothing, while the elite take advantage of your outrageous ignorance.

If you don't want to discuss family, then don't make them the subject of your thread dumb ass.
Try not to be such an obvious asshole.

The topic was about discussing matters with family about Trump when the family member isnā€™t a Trump supporter.

Scumbag gimp, you fuckface, gimp offered his unsolicited asshole opinion about her intelligence. Fuck him and fuck yourself.

Got it. You can use family to make a point, but nobody else can. Fuck you.

People have different views and life experiences. Thats ok.
Itā€™s not okay to many members of the duopoly. They HATE each other because of their political views. The Rs and cons think Ds and libs are stupid and hate the country, and vice versa.

The corporate media, politicians, Hollywood, and academia play them like a fiddle. Pushing divisive tactics to further inflame the duopoly idiots. They do this for the benefit of the tiny elite who gain more power and wealth, while Americans fight amongst themselves.

Whether certain civil servants should receive a security detail should not be a political issue. If you serve your country and as a result of that service you receive threats to your person and your family, the country owes you an obligation to protect you. Fauci has receive threasts. So has Bolton and Pompeo. I don't agree with a damn thing with either Pompeo or Bolton, but they are Americans who served their country and deserve protection. It is a pitiful state of affairs that when we disagree with someone, we feel we could endanger their lives over these petty differences by pulling stunts like this. How sad.

When people are subject to serious threats as a consequence to their service to government, I think they deserve to be protected by government.

It seems like the right thing to do. Not that it matters much to MAGA.

It's almost as bad as denying help for a national disaster because your area didn't vote for trump.

Immediate gratification mentality. You might ask her who should receive secret service protection in the first place. Ironically, Biden may have put him in more danger by naming him as a pardoned criminal.
