NATO has upped their minimum percentage from 2 to 5 percent GDP for defense and you think that indicates NATO is weakening? Yes, the Chinese will suffer because it does not matter what they do, we would still sink Chinese cargo, no matter the flag. During the Gulf War, my ship stopped and boarded any vessel suspected of carrying war materials to Iraq, including those headed for Iraqi allied ports in the Red Sea. We even boarded and searched sheep carriers! Had they contained contraband materials, we would have seized the ship and cargo. That was after all the fighting on the ground had ceased!
