Sometimes such vandalism is done out of hate. Sometimes it is simply teenagers being stupid.

Even stupid teenagers know that the swastika is a symbol of Jewish hate.

That is not what I meant by "stupid". Sometimes teenagers do stupid things. And if something is taboo, that will top their list of things to do because they are rebelling against the authority of adults in an effort to be cool. So some stupid teenagers might vandalize cars with swastikas, not because they hate Jews, but because it will get a reaction. The bigger the reaction, the better.
