1. I bet you dollars to donuts that those "students" were admitted to that university only because of their ethnicity, not because of any academic achievements.

2. Those "students" should keep their mouth shut, study hard, be respectful of the administration, and thank their lucky stars that (a) their professors will be forced to pass them and (b) after graduation, employers will be pressured to give them jobs.

Well the first thing they should demand at Michigan University is a decent football team

Total, unmitigated, fabricated bullshit.

Even assuming that groups of similarly interested students are in any position to make any demands whatsoever (which in itself is a leap), it must START with a listing of REAL, VERIFIABLE, TANGIBLE grievances, by which the groups of students are treated unfairly and differently, to their detriment. Without such a list, the "demands" should be tossed in the nearest waste basket. (One might note, parenthetically, that all of the groups represented are copiously ADVANTAGED by racial and ethnic discrimination...but who's paying attention to that?)

Furthermore students who are on scholarship of any kind need to stand back and STFU. They are GUESTS, and not dues-paying "members." Fuck them very much.

And for the record, "I am occasionally caused to feel uncomfortable," is not an actionable grievance. Not being happy with the academic curriculum is similarly off the table. They all got a copy of the course catalog before they applied for admittance.

When will a college President finally grow a pair? Figuratively speaking. A letter from the Alumni Association telling the school that they will withhold funds if the Administration responds too feebly might be helpful.

After all how do you explain the recent scandal were affluent white and non black individuals, including television actors, corporate executives and bankers bribed and frauded their way to get admission for their children into America's most prestigious universities ?
