I went to Wal Mart today. And decided to check out what they're charging for printers these days. Because mine isn't working any more. The shelves were empty. Probably because of people using their stimulus checks to buy them up. The same thing was true for the big screen TV's. And though I didn't check, the same thing was probably true for their laptop computers.
With all these things being made in China, it must be stimulating the hell out of their economy. Seeing how those things are made there. To hell with any tariffs. Our country needs to see to it that one top quality of any product be made here in the U.S. For cost. Support the businesses that make whatever. Maybe even provide decent free housing to the workers who make whatever. Maybe even make it a sort of military operation. Instead of letting wage slave countries dump cheap products on the U.S. to destroy American jobs. And make us dependent on those countries. Or in other words, be their bitch. We should do what is necessary to stimulate our economy by buying such things.
Despite what I said here, I still say that Americans shouldn't use their stimulus checks to pay rent with. As I said elsewhere, the average minimum hourly wage here in the U.S. is $11.80 an hour. If you are lucky enough to work a 40 hour week, that comes out to $1888 a month. The stimulus checks are around $600 less than that. Only an idiot would waste it on rent. Because you probably won't get another. And who knows when people can safely start getting back to work.
