Stephen Colbert is saying goodbye

Good riddance. He was a propagandist for the Deep State and will not be missed.

I won't even notice his absence. I clicked on The View this morning clicking through channels looking for news pressers going on today and caught Whoppie Goldberg making a tearful goodbye tribute to poor Steve.

Awesome!! :abgg2q.jpg:

For those with an IQ above room temperature:

All 50 states had some form of lockdowns, if just for schools and restaurants.

26 of the 50 governors were Republican.

Now back to our regularly scheduled Dipshit Fest

Serious, of all the people to miss or give a goodbye tribute to, that POS Colbert was her choice?

I underestimated Whoopi, she must be the greatest female actress who has ever lived. When she played Guinan on Star Trek, she had me totally fooled that she might be an intelligent human being.

Pretty clear the network wouldn’t renew his contract

He was failing for the network and his latest antics were a bridge to far
I don't like the guy.

I think he's a bit of a charlatan.

But, it does appear that you can't justify it's cancellation just based on ratings.

However, we are unwilling to call things what they are.

Just like with John Stewart and The Daily Show were the same thing.

I think it would have been better had they just stated that these were as political as MSNBC or Fox and been honest about it.

CBS announced last summer that Colbert’s show would end, citing economic reasons after 11 seasons. But Colbert is the ratings leader in late-night TV. Many — including Colbert — have expressed skepticism that President Donald Trump’s repeated criticism of the show wasn’t a factor.

The decision to shutter the show came after parent company Paramount’s $16 million settlement of Trump’s lawsuit over a “60 Minutes” interview as Paramount awaited his administration’s approval of a pending sale to Skydance Media. Colbert had called it a “big fat bribe.”

Poor Cobert.

He's a victim of people playing games in boardrooms over his head.

Welcome to the world.

When you were needed and produced.......you were kept.

When it becomes convenient to get rid of you.....sayonara (which means forever).

Like Matt Drudge and Alex Jones and Candice Owens & Tucker & MTG & Liz & Mittens & …
Jones went bankrupt after he lied about a tragedy and lost a civil suit. Who took the others off? Was it the gov't or their own doings.

The corporation giveth. The corporation taketh away.
Not really true if the corporation is threatened by government regulatory retaliation. Like living in the third world. Next thing you know enemies of the government will also be threatened by government legal retaliation. Oh wait...

CBS is a broadcast network that uses airwaves licensed by the FCC. If they don't do their best to provide balance to the American public, the FCC has every right to step in.
And they have.
Long past overdue.
