Stephen Colbert is saying goodbye

Good.
He's an asshole.
And he won't be quiet anyway. He'll do some stupid show out of his basement. He's far too much of an attention whore to simply take his medicine and go home.
Yeah, who needs that pesky freedom of speech in the first amendment?

He's welcome to yak his stupid mouth as much as he wants ... when he's not costing CBS $40 million a year.
A podcast out of his basement is the perfect outlet for his second rate talent.

Like Russian collusion? Like that?
You mean like a Biden appointee investigating and determining no collusion? Very corrupt.

Former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn was forced to resign earlier in 2017 after it was revealed he had misled Vice President Mike Pence about his communications with Sergey Kislyak, the Russian ambassador. Don Jr. met with a Russian agent. So there was plenty of smoke and it was reasonable to check for fire.

If it was a business decision based on money, there is no issue. If it was a decision made as the government pointed a gun at CBS...

No there wasn't.

Not really true if the corporation is threatened by government regulatory retaliation.
Well, that's what happens when they suck up and help make the government more powerful.

They depend on the government for success and use it for protection.

And when the bill comes due, they pony up.
Like living in the third world.
You mena like Obama's "to big to fail"?
Next thing you know enemies of the government will also be threatened by government legal retaliation.
Or, like Truman....and out-and-out attempt to sieze an entire industry.

Or, Like Nixon using the EPA to get what he wanted?

Or Biden pushing scrubber technology on coal fired plants that was so expensive they had to shut down?
Oh wait...
It's been going on since FDR and before.

Where have you been?

CBS is a broadcast network that uses airwaves licensed by the FCC. If they don't do their best to provide balance to the American public, the FCC has every right to step in.
And they have.
Long past overdue.
Balance? Will the next Dem get to decide which commentators get fired from Fox? Gutfeld has to go!

I thought you already did that when Fox was sued for 700 million dollars just for posting how Dominion machinese were susceptible to contaminated databases via the internet.

I would be ok with Sean Hannity going

Which has been proven they are.

Yeah really. Sean was passable back in the Hannity and Colmes days, but as the Hannity Show, Sean is the last person on Fox I'd be willing to watch now.

It may be that Sean and I agree on most issues but I have no interesting watching a show which is essentially nothing more than a gladhander trying to promote the GOP much the same as Maddow pushes the DNC agenda.

Feb 22, 2026 — Stand-up comedy is booming in President Vladimir Putin's Russia but comics have to tread a fine line with their jokes where some have been jailed.
