State Dept. Cuts 1300 Stsffers jobs.

They burned 98 alive in their homes in the simple forest fire they mussed spreading into suburbs in Paradise CA fires WITH all the GOVT possible in place. They move like snails. God help us if it comes FRI-SUN.
Exactly. When even fully funded systems fail, imagine what happens after a few more rounds of cuts. Fires don’t wait for paperwork. If the sirens are silent and the alert team’s on furlough, we don’t get a second shot. Local efforts matter—but without federal backup, we’re just chasing embers with garden hoses.

I didn't hear you complain when Biden let go of thousands of government and healthcare workers. With his illegal vaccine mandate.
Didnt happen. That number was 11. Again. You guys are never right and never check.

Managers then get to decide who gets CULLED THEN.

This happens everyday outside of govt.
That’s not how it happened. We’ll see here but all the other reductions just focused on unprotected workers and fired anyone who got a promotion or job change in the last 2 years making them probationary and forced early retirement. None were based on productivity or need. That’s why the NWS was under staffed on forecasters and are hiring a hundred back. Deadly floods be damned!

65 years of GOVT test patterns, EWS
Testing lol! Beep..On TV did nothing for anyone but they got paid well to do it?
Tornado sirens, heat warnings, flash flood warnings. Everyone had em up to earlobes for 50 years and yawn, irritated to hear it again.

They can't tell you it going to rain next week but a 50-50 chance, yet highly paid. Close them all down. Watch the sky. You're in charge of your ownself you pitiful Cattle herd.

GOVT the biggest Welfare fraud of all. Let the States handle it.
If you knew exactly when you needed insurance… you wouldn’t need insurance. Preparedness is a virtue, not a sin.

Tell that to the healthcare workers.
All 11 who were really fired for insubordination? Ok. Tell me the others’ names and I’ll get all of them individually. Just list them anywhere outside your fantasy made up in your mind.

No, plenty had to leave their jobs because they didn't want an experimental vaccine in their body.

Back tracking like a ************. Read the article I linked. No one was fired. These guys are being FIRED and people above in this thread are joyously posting articles about people crying like misery is good.

I will never understand the cruelty and hate from the right.

They had to leave their jobs or get the vaccine, same thing.

At no point were people forced to get a vaccine or quit. The order was rescinded in spring of 2023 due to the progress made. No one was forced. The handful of cases were less than a dozen in highly sensitive patient areas. No one was forced to quit or fired. That is a lie.

He still did it and it was unconstitutional.

No doubt we overspend—but wise stewardship means pruning with purpose. It's not just about what gets cut—it's about what must be preserved to keep the whole garden alive. Slashing hundreds of cybersecurity and diplomatic support roles right as global tensions rise? We’d have done better trimming back redundant middle-management contracts or the ballooning PR budgets that exist to make inefficiency look inspiring.
The issue is that we don't know, and as bloated as the State Department is, I'm thinking that we are going to have to take the State Department at its word. If they are the necessary personnel — I doubt it — then they'll sue and get that grievance aired out.

In truth, the standard should be that a government employee has a workload of 8.5 hours in duration each day. If they have free time, they are stealing tax dollars by wasting time.
