The State Department is opening a Criminal Investigation?

Uhhh...no. The DoS cannot do any such thing. It has about as much authority to criminally investigate someone as the Girl Scouts.

Hillary was the Secretary of State, responsible for running the State Department. Once upon a time, before this lawless administration, when people were held, accountable, Hillary would have been FIRED, like any CEO had this happened in the company they ran.

That there have been few criminal prosecutions of mishandling classified docs , because the individual AGENCIES handle the investigation and review of these offenses.

And Comey told y'all, that if it happened at the FBI -- it would go to INTERNAL review. Not to "court". And under internal review, they can fire, dock pay, suspend, or REVOKE CLEARANCES.

Revoking her current "courtesy clearances" should have happened YESTERDAY. Which then leaves the Clinton lemmings to go over the cliff with a seriously flawed candidate.

And then there's the issue of other former State employees that are also culpable in the same way.

I've been trying to tell folks all along that these matters are USUALLY handled INTERNAL to the department or contractor they occur in. .Because it's ******* difficult to get a Joe/Jane jury that can HEAR the sordid details of a security compromise. THat's why Comey was signaling how guilty she was and what the NORMAL resolution of these cases should be.

But you can't expect the normal system of Dept review and sanction to work if the target of the crime is a WH Cabinet member. All those "internal" folks work under her (piss poor) example and direction. No one is gonna martyr themselves reporting a Sec of State to internal review.

Which is EXACTLY WHY Comey SHOULD have indicted her. Because he didn't -- HIS precedent now gives the powerful and the connected virtual immunity in these cases.

But barring that -- I'm perfectly happy to assume that a CLINTON level of deviance and destruction won't be seen again in 50 years or so. And with the State Dept TODAY saying they are RE-opening their internal investigation -- they GOT the signal from Comey and chances are -- the re-tred power whore and several of her entourage still face sanctions and revocation of clearances. Which should be enough. The American voter WILL understand that message and adjust their choices appropriately..
