Speaker of the House

The government will not crash. Its already paid for at this point. For many people trying to live there has been a crash to them the last two years. All of the green deal as an example will go to foreign nations to produce the goods. We live in value now. Since the Progs want globalism and not a national government we once had.
For many people trying to live there has been a crash to them the last two years Ive been all across this country this year, if the people are crashing, it sure as hell isn't in their travel plans.

* It's not the Democrats responsibility to bail wingnuts out of their wingnuttery.
* Jeffries could certainly win. "George Santos" missed a vote. Other Republicans could miss a vote on purpose. There are also at least 6 Republicans who won in districts that Biden won, some of them BIGLY. They could vote for Jeffries and stay Republicans or change to Independents.

Is it not? Are they not also elected members of congress, tasked with doing the people's business? Them sitting on the sidelines watching gleefully as the repubs are trying to sort this out (and I say gleefully because many of them have indicated as much), makes them just as culpable for the delay.

Jeffries won't win and even if he did, he would be removed immediately as all it would take to do so is a majority vote. Unless you are suggesting that the republicans, with a majority, would be OK with a dem as speaker. That's not going to happen.

The dems could simply end this process by having a few of them just vote for their best choice of the Republicans.

So, yes, they could move this along, but they choose to allow the Congress to remain unseated by playing this game.

Again, I'm not taking any of the blame away from those 20 or so repubs that are gumming up the works...and all that mess should be looked into and exposed...but the dems sitting back with their arms crossed enjoying the show is also gumming up the works.

They are the Minority party. If Republicans want Democrats to decide, then don't show up on the floor of the House tomorrow. Democrats will pick the Speaker.

If Republicans can't even pick a Speaker how will they solve real problems? They aren't capable of governing.

Doesn't matter if they are the minority party, they still could help. And this isn't "republicans"....Republicans are pretty much in agreement, its these 20 or so people who apparently are trying to secure special favors for themselves, or simply don't want McCarthy that are holding things up. Those people need to be made known, and eventually need to realize that this is not helping anything.

The Republican party created those monsters. That's on them.

Given how thoroughly conservatives fetishize failure, the more Kevin failures, the greater their success!
Burn it down they say. I'm curious though, after they burn it down, who's in charge?

The racism is what destroyed the party.
The racism is that asshole Pelosi picting a dumb woman Negro for that position because of diversity, wokeism, affirmative action or whatever racist reason.
