Wasn't sure about this, the premise has been done numerous times - a family unwittingly invites a madman into their lives.
Main reason we wanted to see it was James McAvoy, helluva an actor - and he did not disappoint.
He plays the character well, flashing between happy and easy to enraged instantly.
There are no real surprises here, the movie pretty much goes as you expect it - McAvoy clearly carries the movie.
It is free on Prime - worth watching. No woke messaging or politics thrown in for no reason - so that is good.

Sorry, I don't do subscriptions. Now they want you to have 15 different accounts just to watch television.

They need to fix it that the consumer wades through the available selections while a set price is fixed, then after you order it, they take care of where the money goes and who gets paid what out of that fee themselves.

No thanks, I'm not much of a fan of those types of movies.

That said McAvoy is a good actor. He did very well in Victor Frankenstein.

He is very good. And why we watched it at all. But you can watch some of the scenes of this movie on YouTube - you can see his talent in them.
He caught my eye in Split - wow - how super well he played a character with true multiple personality disorder. Super good at it.
