To Reform Congress, Enact Term Limits

People are foolish and naive if they think term limits will stop the corruption. It could actually lead to even more corruption while having a constant mix of rookies in the governement who don't know what they're doing.
~~~~~~
In the same tone, you prefer to tie a "Rookie" president to two terms in office, but have a Congressman perpetually in their seat until they die or are incapable of functioning,
Truly a dichotomy in in logic.
It appears that some States have terms limits for Governor and State legislators that function well...
Congresspeople can't serve perpetually until they die unless the voters vote them in. Now, all of a sudden, you are against voters voting?
They just move on to federal jobs.
It’s not as though these people continue to reappoint themselves. They keep getting elected. What makes people continue to vote for them? That’s where the reform is most necessary.
It requires an amendment because the Constitution does not limit a person from running again.
~~~~~~
That can only be done by a convention of States to amend the Constitution
As of yet that has not been accomplished.

That's the problem... Maybe the DOGE can cut the bureaucracy yo a livable size by a million or two.
No, they just get elected to Congress. Mitch McConnell was my county judge executive when I was a teenager. I have met him many times back then before he was a Senator. I think you will also find Marco Rubio was Speaker of the House in Florida's state government.

If that's the case, why have we limited the presidency to two terms? Shouldn't the People have the right to elect the person of their choice to the most important position (the Presidency) in the U.S.?

How about we just stop voting for the fuckers?
Representation Is a Re-Presentation of Perpetual Elitist Tyranny

Quit voting for candy-dates and demand that we be given votes on the issues instead. Let us, the people, have veto power over legislation and SCROTUS decrees. Term limits will just bring on the politicians-in-waiting.

Not only are they not "wise stewards" they never can be. It wasn't wise to let ourselves be skewered by them.

full democracy doesn't work in anything bigger than a small group. All you would have is mob rule and it would get ugly,

I still don’t see the advantage of electing an unknown with no political experience.

We do it all the time. Check each Congress for those that were initially elected. There are "Year One" Congressment every election.

And how do they perform compared to a seasoned veteran?
Experience matters in legislation

Two wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for supper

Then vote them out of office
You must do the same. You ain't. In many elections over many decades, we look at if the candidate has a "D" or an "R" next to their names no matter their views. And in some elections, there are many many candidates for many offices and judicial positions.

They already have term limits of 2 and 6 years then have to start over

Why should someone say I must replace a representative who I think is doing a good job
The problem is the money/Citizens United

May you should view this movie made in 1939. I'm sure it might help you. The Title is:
"Mr. Smith Goes to Congress".

"Eighty years after this film was released, the control of the "Deep State" in the Swamps of DC continues to grip our government. It took the courage of a nonpolitician, like Mr. Smith in the movie, to confront the country's mega machines, including the fake media on an every day basis. It will take the strength of all citizens to stand together in unity to preserve the true American values."
