SpaceX Starship reaches for the stars. Complete success

Space X released footage of the upper stage landing. Landed just 9 feet from it's intended target -

Elon didn't use Trump's money to build a rocket. **** Trump, he had nothing to do with it.
NASA was supposed to build a rocket that was economical to put into low earth orbit as well as deep space. They knew early on that was not going to happen. So, two companies were contracted to build low earth orbit space capsules and the SLS was reimagined for deep space missions. And it seems it is to expensive for even that.

Sure, Trump creating the Space Force and the Space Force needing rockets and space stuff, yep, that did not help Musk.

The Space industry doubled the day Trump created the Space Force.

Space Force + largest rocket = Trump sure as hell fed contracts to Musk.

This is a construct:

What's the difference between thinking an idea is "retarded" and thinking it shouldn't exist?

You really can't figure that out yourself?

If an idea shouldn't exist, the people who hold the idea probably shouldn't either in your book.

I think in a genuinely civilized nation that's concerned about rising antisemitism, this shouldn't be permitted, just an executive order away...

That flag literally means "Death to all Jews" yet no magat says anything about it, even some Jews are silent, we live in very strange times.

99% of the jew hate is coming from the left these days. You really picked a stupid ******* example.

The only gravitas the neo nazi morons have these days is given to them by the left in their attempt to link them to anyone to the Right of Mitt Romney.

The stupid one here is you. What makes you believe the resources in earth are infinite? You think wind and solar can power the entire world especially with AI consuming more energy a day than a small city. You think uranium and rare earths are infinite? Here are some science lessons for you.

The moon has helium 3 which is not found on earth. Helium 3 is an energy source. Ice on the moon is also an energy source. The moon is a potential launchpad for future generations to mine asteroids, which are rich in minerals. If we can somehow set up massive solar arrays on the moon and overcoming meteor bombardment, we can harness the sun’s energy 24/7 and beam that energy back to earth. Japan is already working on the microwave energy beaming concept.

Learn something before you say it’s worthless. The party of science is anti science. Sheesh..

You want to point me to a helium 3 reactor? There isn’t one.

You guys ***** about solar panels being inefficient and costly, but you think it’s going to be more economical to launch them onto the moon? Jesus no.

Also, you should know that the moon rotates and night lasts 24 days. You can’t put up a solar panel and get 24/7 sun.

No, the context is science, space exploration, human achievment, climbing the highest mountain, being first, being the best that we can be.
Maybe you don’t listen to the babbling of Elon Musk, but he’s constantly talking about permanent colonization of Mars.

We've had unmanned reentry air force vehicles circling the Earth since Oblama...2009
Space X has been around since 2002

SpaceX secured its first government funding in 2003 when the Pentagon's research arm, DARPA, started paying for early conceptual work, with additional government support arriving from the U.S. Air Force in 2004 and later major contracts from NASA following SpaceX's fourth rocket launch in 2008.

The interest is in the South Pole of the moon. Most of the time if not all 24 hours in sunlight with potential water. No atmosphere and adverse weather to reduce energy output from panels if they use that. They may use nuclear power.

Damn, you are ******* stupid and have no idea what helium 3.

I'm well aware of what helium 3 is. Are you aware that there is no working reactor that uses helium 3?

Don't bullshit. Anyone who is aware of what helium 3 wouldn't say going to the moon or setting up lunar colony is a waste.

Of course it's a waste. We don't have any helium 3 reactors and we don't need any helium 3 reactors.

Going to the moon and setting up a colony is HUGELY expensive.

There's no such thing as a helium 3 reactor nor there will be a reactor for helium 3. You're too stupid to see beyond the horizon yet you claim to be pro science. Hilarious.

I said that there isn't a helium 3 reactor and we don't need one. That's true.

I'm the only one around here actually wanting NASA to do science. All these dopes want to do is play with rockets.

Are you really this dense? How the hell can humanity travel into space without investing in rocket science research? If you know someone who has Star Trek transporting technology, let me know.

Humans don't need to travel into space. It's extremely expensive and dangerous.

The focus should be on the science we get from space exploration, not the means by which we get there.

Sure, I hear Musk and his goals. I work fir Musk at SpaceX. I know.

Musk forever will be known as the man who put a man on the moon. The man who began the colonization of our solar system.

HIstory is being made. I am proud. I have gone from working on nuclear reactors, nuclear submarines, a fusion reactor, now rockets.

You should be extremely happy for Musk and the USA.

We already put men on the moon.

Starship landing on the moon is by far the dumbest idea he's come up with. I think he undercut everyone else to force the government to give him the contract so he could spend the money to develop Starship expecting the whole program to be scrapped before it ever requires him to deliver any hardware.
