Space, the final frontier. Or is it?

somewhat the same but the angel of death in germany tried to alter people, jews by doing nasty experiments on them, most if not all died
this was not about aliens though so it's kinda in the same realm but not really either
Mengele didn't get very far with that stuff.

Not saying we are alone in the entire universe, because we don't know the extent of it.
But we are alone in our sector.
What the hell is a "sector? You mean a cubic parsec? This arm of the galaxy? Maybe this sector of the Federation?

My 6th grade history teacher was an ex-military Colonel I think, they wanted to make him big name General, but he said no.
And of course, you kids knew that to be true at age eleven. :eusa_whistle:

He told us he was tired of the lies, backstabbing, and of the goverment and military using the average American as a guineapig.
He and 150 other people who've made similar claims.

During the week, we would read history from our history books, then he would tell us what REALLY happened. Blew our minds away.
:laughing0301:

The one thing we came away with from that class, was learning his motto...........history is not what happened, it is what was written by the winners, who want you to believe they won for being "good" people.
Well, I suppose there is some truth to that. History is both things--- history is both the factual events which occurred and the recorded account of it as presented usually by those who survived to write it in their favor. After all, democrats still do that today: a woman confronts and harasses armed officers as a daily "mission" of hers she was "trained" to do until she almost runs a cop over and gets shot in the process; then the democrats rewrite history claiming she was just an innocent mom, model citizen of the community, dropping her kid off who was pointlessly murdered by bloodthirsty villains terrorizing the families of the community! :71:

On Fridays, we got to ask him questions about anything, and he promised to tell us the absolute truth about it.
Kinda like Joe Biden used to do. :uhh:

Someone asked about UFO's, since it was the 70's and the UFO craze was beginning to take off in all directions.
Governments want to be IN CONTROL, PERIOD.
Interesting. So you address none of the points I made based on direct experience (I used to work for the government too) instead musing about some teacher you had in grade school when you were little kids. Interesting.

I think it's kinda sissy to think of aliens like those in "The Abyss" ... cute, delicate, angelic; with nothing but humans' best interest in mind ... ha ... they'll come here for exploitation ... a whole planet full of virgin thorium ...

The encounter will be more like "Independence Day" ... or worse:

"Cortez the Killer" - Crazy Horse ...

The difference between kids and adults is kids know bullshit when they hear it.
Adults are conditioned to live in bullshit, because "thats the way the world works".
The teacher got asked very indepth questions which he had direct, indepth answers for.
And I can smell a bullshitter when ones near me. And he was not one.

So, you worked for the government. Whoop Dee Doo
Were you privy to scientific and military secrets? Have to engage with scientists, builders, and designers?
No? Didn't think so.

At least I've seen several real UFOs with my own eyes and that is several more than you. :71:

The Universe we reckon is just under 14 Billion Years old ... we also calculate that, if we understand it correctly, it will last another 35 Billion Years until it collapses back into nothingness.

That would make The Universe we know to have a long life ahead of it.

Some intelligent species had to be the first one to develop, it could have very well been US.

Give The Universe time, it's not done baking yet.

I'm not familiar with that 35 billion figure. Where did you get it? As the theory goes, the universe is expanding and accelerating under the mysterious force of hypothetical dark energy. IMO, dark energy is just a fill-gap to cover for a monster hole in cosmology. First, we have to assume a linear rate of slowing then make huge assumptions on what happens after DE eventually completely stops expansion.

You know you are in trouble when you must assume most of the universe is something you have never seen and cannot even test for nor measure!

Some intelligent species had to be the first one to develop, it could have very well been US.
Valid point. Another valid theory is that intelligence leads to technology and technology leads to self-extermination. But I doubt we are even the first in the Milky Way much less the universe. For instance, our galaxy is surrounded by a halo of old, yellow, Type II Population stars which are much older than the Sun and come from a time before the universe was enriched by heavier elements so tend to be rather simple and pure in composition. These population II stars tend to confine themselves to the halo and around the inner galaxy towards the core. This is where I'd first look for older civilizations than our.

Advanced civilizations might develop star travel, but I doubt they travel from one galaxy to another, so any "aliens" out there would be native to the Milky Way. Indeed, there might even be some sort of barrier to most intergalactic travel.

I've seen UFOs too.

But after investigation and research I find out what they REALLY are/were.
I just don't take it for granted that they are something from another world.

I have no doubt of that, the question is whether they were real or instilled in your grade school mind by an elementary teacher.

But after investigation and research I find out what they REALLY are/were.
How do you investigate three objects flying at a high altitude miles in the sky, noiseless, doing things physically impossible by any airplane, only visible through the eyepiece of a small telescope you are using at the age of maybe 11-12 years old seen while out at night in the dark?

The only way you can "investigate" something and find out what it was is if either you have it to identify, or have a simple enough identification that people of authority can conclusively say: "Oh, that was us. We were there at that time and what you are describing was our weather balloon."

I actually saw two UFOs at dusk both naked eye. Later watched both through telescopes as well; took afocal pictures of the one. The first one my father called the weather bureau to ask if they knew what it was, described it (he saw it too) and the weather people in charge of such weather packages said it was nothing they recognize nor knew of that should have been there at that time.

When I investigate something, it takes time. Sometimes years, before I get an answer.
Sometimes I never get an answer.

I use TV documentaries, books, online information, I listen to videos of any witnesses, and any news from the scientific community.

I've seen things when I was younger I never got answers to until in my 40's.

And yet, none of them were anything that couldn't be explained by science or the fact that other people that witnessed the same thing, also did their research to find out what it really was.

Sure, SOME cannot be factually explained, but most can........either by logic or science or other witnesses that saw what it really was.

Then maybe you should investigate some of the things I've told you before ridiculing them 5 minutes after the fact.

Ridicule? How so?

I'm just stating facts as I've learned them, and from what I've seen, heard, and researched.

If you take it as ridicule, then thats all on you.

No, I take it as ridicule when you mock my former government position making fun of it (without even knowing what it was), then put stories told you in 6th grade over my own personal, direct experiences as grounds to just write them off without investigation.

Then tell me what a thorough investigator you are.

Never said I was thourough. I don't have access to EVERYTHING.
And I never mocked your job....as you said, I don't know what it was.

And I didn't get into researching this stuff until about my junior year in high school.
