Oh wow. Taylor series. Exact? Exact as you want to be, but not exact. Crystal structures structures and mineralogical properties? The deviations from the norm is how the histories of various formations are established. Especially in ophialites.
Ophies are assemblages of igneous rock. Deviations occur based on temp and pressure in chemical composition in metamorphic rock. Or should I say changes in molecular composition, rearrangment.
Ophialites are types of formations that include igneous, this is rift zone material, as well as sedimentary and metamorphic material. A very simplified version here, and any given ophialite may or may not include all the rock types listed.

Yes, changes in rock types, crystal structures, and chemical environment can make quite a differance the the resulting formation. Not exact, by any means. In fact, serious science is not exactly exact, and when you start claiming that for physics, think quantum mechanics.
I'll not argue some of that. All science is not exact. The purest form is mathematics.
