It is how teachers, peers, as well as society in general, helps provide the knowledge and guidance to young people.
It has always been what was intended ... They have always been shaping the students.

Now ... The problem isn't the idea that the students are being indoctrinated ...
It's the absolute garbage they are being indoctrinated into believing or accepting as having any value whatsoever ...

I always get in trouble when I point out that instilling values and order in a society through education is indoctrination.
It's like people just don't like the word or something.

When a father teaches their children ... "We eat the game we kill" ... That's indoctrination.
When children stand and say the Pledge of Allegiance ... That's indoctrination.
When children get in line to go to lunch ... Get sent the principal's office for behavior ... That's indoctrination.
When the school posts the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People on the wall ... That's indoctrination.

Schools have always had an agenda, curriculum, and an organized order in which to direct children and their studies.

It's not that the people don't want their children to be indoctrinated ...
As much as it is the people are really upset with who is controlling the indoctrination and what their children are being taught.

Schools should be controlled at the State and Local level ...
To best provide an environment in learning that most closely resembles the values of the community.

I don't lay awake at night worried about the garbage the nutcases in California are teaching their children ...
Until they take that garbage to the Federal level and try to make it mandatory for the entire Nation.
