Worldwide solar grew 64% for the first six months of 2025 over the same period in 2024.
 
Did this do anything to coal burning? ... or are we just using more energy? ... as long as we keep burning fossil fuels, carbon levels in the atmosphere will keep going up ...

It's insightful to look at an image of "India-at-Night" from 20 years ago and now ... geez that's a lot of coal ...
 
64% of next-to-nothing is still next-to-nothing ... mathematically speaking that is ...

The plate capacity numbers vary all over the place thus not a stable credible power producer which doesn't work at all at night.
