Major solar installations in China in May, 2025

They do produce 400% more co2. If you break it down per capita to compare countries, the UK and USA pollute more per person. Do you understand that?

If you compared rapes by country, would you look at total or per capita?

Not sure we're the arguement on basic statistics has come from :dunno:

India and China, same population

China 400% CO2

Exactly!

Much more per capita too
Heres a chart for co2 by tons and per capita. Clicking on the column headings sorts them -

If China wanted to reduce the co2 per capita, they would just need to close coal powered electric plants. But they ain't bothered.

Because they're paying for the fake climate "science" in an effort to destroy Western Civilization; that's why they totally ignore it

Now contrast it with growth in other power producing sources, you will find the percentages haven't changed much.

China’s construction of new coal-power plants ‘reached 10-year high’ in 2024

Excerpt:

The country began building 94.5 gigawatts (GW) of new coal-power capacity and resumed 3.3GW of suspended projects in 2024, the highest level of construction in the past 10 years, according to the two thinktanks.

Yes, they are still building out their coal generation. However, that roughly 100 GW's of new coal pales beside the 277 GW's of solar and 87 GW's of wind. They are also, as we are, moving away from coal for generation.

"China is far ahead of everyone else with renewable energy installations, but coal still plays a big role in the country’s energy mix. That said, there are signs it might be starting to kick its coal habit. Coal power permits dropped by a massive 83% in H1 2024 compared to H1 2023, and no new coal-based steelmaking projects were approved during that time."

Is the 1,100 GW capacity of operating Chinese coal a big problem? Absolutely. Are the coal plants under construction a concern? Yes.

But narratives neglect to mention that 775 GW of coal generation that was operational and shut down, or didn’t make it to construction at all. Much of that shut-down older generation used the worst coal technologies which emit the most carbon dioxide per MWh, about 1.4 tons, while much of the operating and most of the in-construction coal generation is modern coal technology which emits about 0.8 tons per MWh.

If 80 metrics tons of CO2 is dangerous, the fact that it takes 10 Chinese to emit that but only 8 Americans, doesn't mean the Chinese CO2 is killing the planet less than the American CO2.
That is correct. However, China resources up until recently have been far more limited than those of the US. And they are trying to join the modern world in a very short time. So they are building out their energy infrastructure as fast as possible. Interestingly, we are adding renewables at a far higher percentage of new energy than they are. We are just failing to add enough. Our scientists dealing with battery research are also making some major gains. However, where the Chinese government actively supports such gains, our present government is doing all it can to discourage those gains, trying to go back to 19th century energy base.

Stupidly, we are adding renewables at a far higher percentage of new energy than they are.

the Chinese government actively supports such gains,

The Chinese government actively supports gains in reliable baseload power.
The left here actively supports gains in unreliable "green power" while mandating
the elimination of reliable baseload power.

our present government is doing all it can to discourage those gains, trying to go back to 19th century energy base.

Windmills? LOL!

Yes, windmills. Worldwide generated about 2500 TWH in 2023. China generated over 990 TWH and the US generated over 450 TWH. That was 8.1% of the power generated worldwide, 9.8% of the power generated in China, and 10.3% of the power generated in the US. And all these numbers are going to increase.

Let’s review: China CO2 = (USA * 2) + India

China Population 1.4 B
India population 1.4 B

China CO2 per capita = 4 * India CO2

Old Rocks explains why China, who funds American “climate research”, is allowed to have 4 times Indias per capita CO2

This chart likely concerns you for environmental reasons. It concerns me because obviously China is growing economically and technologically much faster than the US.
