So, who's going to visit Israel?

I wouldn't mind checking out MASADA and other areas and things but Masada would be number one .

Masada is awesome. and there's so much more . . . . . I posted a link to some of my 2011 pictures, hope all enjoy!

into the thread very late but if I was Jewish and a lot younger I'd head for ISRAEL to live , join the military and probably end up fighting .

When I went in 2011, I met a young man who flew with me on the Chicago-Warsaw leg. Well, I didn't actually 'meet' him until we were at the bar in Warsaw, but he did that very thing. While we were waiting for the plane from Warsaw to Ben Gurion, there were a gaggle of Israelis there. He expressed his desire to do just what you posted, and they pretty much changed him from a Chicagoan(?) to an Israeli right before my eyes.

well I'd go , but as I said , I am not Jewish and I'm 65 years old so I'd be seen as not very useful to Israel . But yeah , I'd go Teddy !!

I'd like to go, but from everything I've read about Jews, they hate brown people.......oh, and I also heard they like to bleed out gentiles to use as an ingredient for matzah bread. No thanks.

Instead, I've booked my vacation to Iraq and Syria. I heard Kobani is beautiful during the winter.

Have a great trip Teddy.... I hope you do get to meet up with Daniyel and Lipush, would be a great experience!

Have you been before Teddy?

You just knew that your post was going to get flack didn't you!

Not sure that this post of yours is in the right area but hey, what do I know ;-)

Someone mentioned the Dead Sea earlier... Yes, an amazing experience to float in the Dead Sea... One I will never forget!
I hope I do get to meet up with those two as it would be awesome to do.

I have been before in 2011. Got some pics:

Yeah, too bad about the flak.

As for in the wrong area, well I will ask the mods. I posted it here originally because I wanted to know who really either had gone there and/or wanted to go there; instead of 'armchair quarterback' and see what it is like for themselves. I personally find it somewhat important to know firsthand from the folks who live there what it is really like.

When I was there in 2011, I took my sister and her boyfriend to the Dead Sea, but myself I didn't do the 'float'. I found it cool enough to watch them do it, lol.

Nice pics thanks for sharing. So you've been there before, I thought this was your first time. Why go again?

Last time I felt like I focused too much on places and taking pictures. This time I want to try to focus more on the people.

That's a really good answer, it will be interesting to hear what you have to say about your trip and the people you meet and observe (the ones who live there and not the tourist!)

You couldn't pay me enough to go anywhere near the Middle East.

I agree with this is all of the Middle East, except Israel.

It is amazing how racists never change. Back during the times of Apartheid South Africa, the racists would say how they would not want to visit any place in Africa except for South Africa because of the wars and turmoil in the countries all around South Africa. Now they are saying the same thing about Apartheid Israel.

And then we have arabs, lowing and winging to settle their arses in Israel, indeed. Sweet, sweet "apartheid". hehe

Well, the facts are a little different aren't they. A bunch of European Jews settled their asses in Palestine and implemented Apartheid after a bit of ethnic cleansing and murder. Nice people.

Funny folks them arab settlers and squatters from the hood, drop in on the jewish honey and want to have it all for themselves.

Well, the facts are a little different than invented statements, in fact hardly any non-Jews immigrated to Palestine.

Of 414,456 migrants to Palestine from 1920 to 1946, 376,415 were Jews and only 38,041 were non-Jews. Jews migrated at ten times the rate of Arabs and other non-Jews to Palestine. As recorded in the Survey of Palestine published by the UN in 1946 and available for download at the Berman Jewish Policy Archive of NYU and Wagner Universities.

Nobody is asking Mr. S. to visit Israel. Perhaps he would feel more comfortable visiting Pakistan where the Sunnis are busy bombing the Shiites and Ahmadis. As for South Africa, many of the Somalis who emigrated there are going back home even though it is dangerous for them in Somali because of what is happening in South Africa today. As far as Apartheid in Israel, many would disagree with Mr. S. who can't seem to get enough of spouting out Apartheid when it comes to Israel. Perhaps each morning when he sits down to type post after post on this forum, Mr. S. has to remind himself to mention Apartheid. Have a wonderful time and be sure to take lots of pictures that you can post here for us who are interested/

Do you really think that posting links from an Israeli propaganda site is appropriate or convinces anyone? Grow up.
