I would consider moving somewhere like that...with lots of trees and gorgeous mountain views. But I also love being near the ocean, though....That's one of things I miss about living in Baja, I lived pretty much right on the coast when I was there.I think I'm done with Cali. Been looking around for affordable rentals in Sierra Vista AZ or Benson Az. Not a desert person, but...I'm old now and will just stay buried in the apt/house/mobile anyway and I can make it tropical with fake plants.![]()
I have a friend who moved to Minden, NV. It's a small town near the Sierra Nevada mountains, not too far from Lake Tahoe, which is a beautiful area. She told me it's like a "Hallmark movie" town, and she loves it there.I would consider moving somewhere like that...with lots of trees and gorgeous mountain views. We (my 3 sons, and I) are considering moving out of state. The oldest is already in the process of getting his house on the market and moving to Idaho. He's already familiar with the area from going rafting, visiting and has friends already there and has a job lined up. That's great for him and he wants the rest of us to follow as well. We don't have all that in place or reasons to move there. I just know we've about had our fill of the left coast BS and looking to potentially move. Hopefully within the next year the decision will be made.
Off the top of my head some of my first choices would be Southern Utah, Dallas/Ft Worth area of Texas, maybe Arkansas just because I have extended family there, north central Florida maybe. Idaho was never my first choice of a place to move too but I am seeing alot of potential to change my mind. Warmer, drier climate without the scorching heat
What state do you or have you lived in and what do you think of it?? What is the average weather conditions vs extremes? Job market & pay? What kind of taxes (state income, sales, property, etc) do you pay? Basic cost of living? Real estate market and costs? Politics? Crime, drugs and homelessness rates?? Hunting/fishing opportunities, as well as local laws, rules and regulations governing outdoor recreation activities.......and, and, and??????
Sale of what, exactly?? Cause most everything is legal in all or most of those states listed.Maybe Alabama. Don't know, just what I see online.
