Zone1 So where would you go?

I've wanted to move away from Western WA for many years, so I've already been 'suffering in silence'.
Can you share what is so bad?
Just curious.
Sure, if you live in the slums of Tacoma, but most areas aren't like that.
So, I like to hear about your 'suffering in silence.'

The gas prices there averaged around $4.75/gal.
Simply NOT True.

I should be checking out Montana next year. Our daughter found out she's going to ge orders to Montana.

WW
Montana's weather sucks as winter is 9 months out of the year, because it is basically southern Canada. My son drove across it in the winter while working in North Dakota from Washington state. The stories he told would make you cry!

And it rains every day in Seattle, right?

Whack job liberal commies, for one. Excessive population and poor roads for two and three.

There is so much vacant land in WW.
Sure, the big cities are crammed, but I choose NOT to live there.
Roads...... is it that they are 'crowded' or 'shitty in quality'

Pretty sure he was talking about Montana's driving conditions in winter.

As for the roads.......both crowded and shitty in quality

Pretty sure I've covered atleast some of the downside previously in this thread. But will further include some of Fergusons broken promises and other problems......

6% spending cuts that would have saved the state $4 BILLION.........he caved
Hiring more law enforcement.........he caved
No new taxes........he caved, again and again. Just wait until Jan 1st and beyond as to how that plays out.
and I'm sure there is/or will be more in the near future.

As in that new millionaires income tax......once that's in effect, it won't be long before they revise that amount to include ALL taxpayers.

It has little to do with just 'the slums of Tacoma', but crime, drug abuse, homelessness, and the like are happening all around the state. Yet not one Democrat in office here has done anything to address those issues with any seriousness, other than to raise more taxes to pay for it to be done, but that money is funneled elsewhere before it can make much of an impact.

Giving illegals anything that would include any type of benefits, driver or CDL licenses when they don't know or even care about the fricken rules of the road. How many bridges here, at who knows how many millions of tax payer dollars to repair or replace or lives are lost....before anyone understands giving them licenses in the first place is a bad idea? Then some dimwit wants to propose a 'stupid driver' law because they refuse to actually name it properly (illegal alien driver) because that would be admitting THEY screwed up by giving the licenses in the first place.

I could go on, but won't........other than to say if you really think this state is Mayberry then you're living in a bubble

Because you can't. ^^^^^^
Mayberry is what you desire?
Me too, but that doesn't exist. Does it? The hollers of WV or East Kentucky?

Oh yes I could and challenge accepted.......These have to do with the Dems going over or around the voters...or not even allowing voter input.

Another car tab increase.......remember when Tim Eyman got that $30 car tab passed? Yeah, that didn't last did it? How many times has that been raised since???

Several years ago there was a proposition(?) or something on the ballot to allow charter schools and it was voter approved, but before that could be implemented, Dems ignored it and did what they wanted.

They are currently and have been breaking or ignoring the State Constitution to pass and implement actions that they want to happen. At the moment, I don't remember specifics but this is from 'Search Assist'....

Washington state Democrats are accused of violating the state constitution by delaying hearings on certified voter initiatives, which should take precedence in the legislature. This has led to claims that they are not following the constitutional requirement to prioritize these initiatives for a vote.

BTW.......how's your car and home insurance rates been over the last few years??? Both of mine have had significant increases with NO claims on either. When I called to ask, I was told the increases were statewide, due to increased claims from criminal activity.

No there is no Mayberry .......but what I do desire is for the state to make some kind of sense.

And it rains every day in Seattle, right?
As a matter of fact, I visited Seattle during a summer in July where they were having the worst drought ever. Grass was dead all over and we could see it even before we landed. I went back another time in June, and the temps were in the 50s, but I don't recall a lot of rain any time I was there. I had been wearing shorts for months in KY.

My son couldn't stand liberals and the crowded highways so he moved to Tennessee.

Yeah, all of those taxes plus 95% tax on nicotine products, 4 more cents on every bag in the state, 12 cents total. Cockamamie carbon taxes and the ninth straight, annual minimum wage increase to a nation leading $17.13/hr. LOL, Watch what happens to fast food outlets. I'm going to be cooking a lot of fabulous foods. Oh yeah--I forgot--ridiculous increases in assessed values and property taxation and STILL the state does not fully fund its schools in violation of McCleary. The legislature thumbs their noses at the state supreme court.

LMAO, Wrong again, Winnie

Seattle experienced drought conditions in 1983, which were part of a larger drought affecting various regions in the United States and Canada during that time. The drought was characterized by extreme heat and dry conditions, impacting agriculture and water supply.

Drought Conditions in Seattle in 1983

Overview of the 1983 Drought

Seattle did experience drought conditions in 1983, which was part of a broader drought affecting various regions in the United States and Canada. The drought began in mid-spring 1983 and extended through to autumn 1985.

Impact on Seattle

  • Temperature and Weather: The summer of 1983 saw several heat waves, with temperatures exceeding 100 °F (38 °C) in many areas. This contributed to dry conditions.

Consequences

  • Agricultural Effects: The drought led to substandard crop yields in various regions, including parts of Canada, which were also affected by the dry conditions.
  • Heat Waves: The combination of drought and heat waves resulted in severe impacts on both the environment and public health, with several states reporting fatalities due to extreme heat.

1983....... what a reach.

You are like trump. losing it daily.

Take that NAP
You asked for a decade that a drought happened in Seattle. I gave you two--the 80s and the 2020s. You can't refute either and you immediately resort to your typical ignorant pejoratives and non sequiturs. Run along Winnie, you still haven't grown up.
