So, What Was The Bottom Line To The Chat Group Security Flub?

Thats a problem for the libs

If the alleged “security breach” was so damaging, and the lib journalist was soooo patrotic, why did he wait two weeks to tell us about it?

The whole thing is very fishy.... and it's amusing how they have no concern at all for a 'journalist' who would stay a part of a group he knew he shouldn't have been added to, and says nothing to verify that he should have been in it in the 2 days prior to any chat starting.

So it’s the reporters fault? Not the assholes that invited him to a chat that shouldn’t have taken place on that AP in the first place?

Just more words that mean nothing

You’re a joke

It was ill advised depending on what was said

But certainly not a hanging offense as you want it to be
It sure was a hanging offense when Hegseth talked about Clinton.

If what we know so far is all you have then I will defend as long as you attack
Using your own intellect, don’t you think operational details of a military strike would be considered classified?

Ohhhhhh… I get it. The SIGNAL ACCOUNT did it all on its own!

That’s a novel bit of bullshit

I didn't say that, but you just keep spewing your asinine ASSumptions all over the place, I wouldn't expect a 70 year old to be knowledgeable about today's technology, or how it works. You give no thought whatsoever as to how it happened, the logistics of it, you don't understand it. And given that, your opinion on the matter is worthless. How many times do I have to repeat that?

You just said

Absolutely nothing

Goldberg assumed it was phony when it happened.

After all, who would actually think that the cabinet would be discussing this in a signal chat? It’s absurd.

The 'reporter' is just as culpable as the others on the chat, even more so since he knew he wasn't supposed to be included in that group and did nothing to verify it or notify them that he was there. The others made an assumption that since Waltz created the group, it only had people in it that should be there and that it was secure. I'm guessing they'll never do that again, it hardly makes them incompetent. The details of him getting added in the first place is what needs to be investigated.

Probably so

In the future the chat group should meet at a secure room in the white house or the Pentagon

If libs had not ignored hillary security breeches then you would a stronger argument now
So was Hegseth lying then or did he decide it’s okay when HE does it?

All you have done is point out the sloppiness and incompetence of these people

I see lefty after lefty after lefty hyping this up for political reasons like some really awful thing. Yes, it was indeed a flub and should be learned from. Took me by surprise that we even have a group chat over a national security thing as important as this was.

But, what was really the bottom line of it all? Did it mess up our attack plans? No.

Did it expose classifed security to our enemies? Doesn't seem to have. As I understand it, the info was accidentally texted to a US reporter and, to the best of my knowledge, he did nothing nefarious with the information which would be traitorous to our country, therefore none of the flub had anything to do with anything detrimental to our country.

Yes, it was careless, just as Hillary Clinton's email server in her basement which could easily be hacked by our enemies was labeled extremely careless.

But, to the best of my knowledge, this is all a huge nothingburger being used as political ammo against Trump that does need to be fixed.
Hegseth had his chances. He's proven himself totally unfit for the job.

Sounds to me like we got lucky in spite of the sloppiness and incompetence in the Defense Department
You can call it whatever you want. The facts are the attack was very successful against the Houthis and nothing bad happened from the flub. And, since the Atlantic has released everything in the flub, obviously there was nothing in the information that hurt national security. I thought you guys were big on the facts?
