Trump nominates the most hated man in the GOP Congress to be Attorney General.

No one forget that Gaetz was the man behind the Motion to Vacate, a cardinal sin in Congress. And a move that drove the GOP into total chaos.

Then the pressure went up with the Ethics Committee Rport. when it became very obvious that the content of the report would become public (released or leaked)

They make it clear that there is no way he can get confirmed.

in the process, they tacitly admit that they are very unlikely to give in to Trump’s demands for a recess so he can slide his picks in without Congressional approval.

Gaetz tries to hide by resigning before the re[ort comes out.

Gaetz meekly resigns, and his successor is nominated before the ink dries on the withdrawal memo. (zTrump dumped him)

The GOP holds it over his head for another 10 days,

Meanwhile, whether Gaetz can serve is up to DiSantis, who demurs.

Thus Trump loses his pick, and the most hated man in Congress gets pushed off the island.
