My guess is that some on the left truly do not want the US involved in another military conflict. I'd also guess that many on the right will simply try and use the situation politically to try and harm the president.

Unfortunately most repubs support this Intervention. Just like most Dems supported the Iraq War. There are a few Republicans speaking out and opposing these bombings but most support it. That's why i always say Socialists/Progressives & Neocons agree on much more than they like to admit. If they put this to a Vote in Congress,i'm pretty sure they would all vote in favor of Bombing Libya. Neocons/Socialists/Progressives? I just don't see much difference between the two. Real Conservatives would oppose these Bombings.

The congress signed onto the UN long ago.

This is a UN action and is perfectly legal.

If you allowed kadafi to just kill of of his citizens who opposed him then it would open the door for the other countries in the same throwes of revolution as Libya is to also fire away at their citizens.

It was the best course of action and any sane person not mind bent by partisan hackery can see that.

Congress has no authority to delegate it's powers to the UN. It's absurd to even imagine that.

You had no problem with Saddam killing the citizens that oposed him.

Where were the US Cruise Missiles and French Fighter Jets in 1991 when Saddam was butchering the Kurds and the Shites?

Where were they in the 1980s? Oh, I forgot, we supported Saddam with weapons he was using to butcher Kurds as long as he was making war with our enemy, Iran. This is why it was senseless and stupid to put him to death without putting others to death for giving him the weapons to do it.
