So, is the left denouncing Obama's "unlawful" war in Libya?

Letting a dictator kill his people at his insane whim is not going to be good for anyone in the world.

If Gadafi is allowed to bomb his own people until only his cronies are left what do you think that says to the rest of the countries on the brink of revolution for democracy?

You people just hate anything this president does no matter what it is.

This is a UN action and not a declared war.

Funny how for years you libs lambasted Bush for taking out Saddam, who was obviously killing any of his own people that showed any sign of resisting his regime. All we heard was "he never attacked us", "there are no WMDs".

When did Libya attack us?
Where is their weapons program?
How are they in any way envolved in an eminent threat to the US?

Now suddently "letting a dictator kill his people at his insane whim" is justification for war.

This UN "action" has taken our country to war. And oh by the way, this war is ten times more "illeagal" than the Iraq War, since Obama didn't even bother getting authorization from Congress to take us into this war...something Bush did do. A UN vote does not have any jurisdiction to legally supercede the US Constitution and the President's powers in taking us to war.

And no, I don't hate this President for his actions. Personally I think bombing Muslims is necessary and a move in the right direction. But the hypocrisy from the left on this is just mindblowing.

Hello! I'm a liberal and am very much against us sticking our nose in Libya's business.

Enough to help us throw him out of office next election? :eusa_whistle:

It is nice to see that at least some of them are honest, even if they are not on this board.

Who's not honest on this board?

Do you really want me to list everyone I have seen defend Obama for doing this even thought they opposed Bush? You are in the minority in this, like it or not.

And the people on the right who don't support Obama in this action but supported Bush and Iraq?

Have you reserved any contempt to dish out in their direction?

Bogus Iraq war my ass! 111 Democrats & 263 Republicans in congress voted to invade Iraq. The majority of US citizens wanted to send troops into Iraq for the entire 13 years before we invaded Iraq.

By choosing to invade Iraq congress & the president followed the will of the people.

Even before the 9/11 attacks, GWB & Cheney Attack Iraq Propaganda, the larger majority of Americans wanted to send in ground troops to remove Saddam from power. Gallup Poll below proves this. Attacking Iraq was democracy in action.

Egyptian Intelligence was in direct communication with Saddam, and Saddam said he had "all the information on WMDs.” Now why would Saddam say this to Egypt if there were no WMD's?

Our "No Fly Zone" in Iraq & our embargo against Iraq was cause for the attacks against us on 9/11. This meant that Saddam & the Iraqi government needed to be dealt with once & for all to set-up a legitimate government of the Iraqi people so the USA would not have to be viewed in the muslim world as a force oppressing that country.

The Vietnam war had 70 some percent support early on too.

So what?

Obama did not withdraw from the Middle East & continues the fight to set up democracy all over the Middle East. Obama continues the Bush doctrine to undermine & topple as many dictators as possible. It is a no brainier to take full advantage of the civil war in Libya that falls gift-wrapped into your lap to set up another democracy. The question is what took Obama so long to back the freedom fighters?

We are either all in or all out of the fight for freedom in the Middle East. Being indecisive, Dithering or waffling back & forth as Obama just did is a recipe for disaster.

What do you mean so what?

Benjamin Franklin, one of America's founding fathers, and perhaps one of the most influential men of his time is accredited with more than just his contributions to American politics. Mr. Franklin was also responsible for the invention of:
- the lightning rod
- the glass armonica
- the Franklin stove
- bifocal glasses
- swin fins
- watertight bulkheads for ships
- odometer

*HOSPITALS
*LIBRARY
*POST OFFICE

I have not seen anyone on the right who supported Bush take a position where they do not support Obama, I have just seen them marveling at the neck breaking reversals of the lefties here. If you point out anyone who has done with that I will be happy to hold them in equal contempt.

Holy Jesus. You are the biggest hypocrite I've ever read.

Please, back away from Mr.Obama's pelvis before reading the rest..........

So, Saddam wasn't a tyrannt, who killed his own people also? Used WMD's against his own people? The parrallel between Saddam and Ghaddafi is so easily seen.

And, since WHEN does the UN have more power than our own Congress? So, if the UN wants us to go to war, the president can act alone and send us without Congress' approval? Isn't that the EXACT definition of a dictator? So we are gonna do what Obama wants, regardless if our Congress wants to or not?

You people's blind worship of Obama is creepy.

The worst is the few libs who are actually saying this Libya war is a bad idea..........but in phrases such as "This is a bad idea, 'we' shouldn't be there."

They absolutely refuse to say anything bad with "Obama" in the same sentence.

Guess what folks? "WE" didn't put our planes or soon to be troops there. "WE" didn't vote on it (as in "We The People" of our Congress and representatives).

Obama acted as a single Commander in Chief, ordering this attack from South America.

I'm totally stunned at the hypocrisy of the left. Where are the "NO WAR FOR OIL" "NO ILLEGAL WAR" chants?

What a load of dingos' kidneys from you.

The piece of shit in office has realized some things are just out of your control .... cant bow, kiss ass and hand out ipods so bomb'em!!!

Oh please shut up, even after Bush started that bogus Iraq war you Republitards voted him right back in and even fought to keep troops in Iraq.

Yes, indeed it did, until the anti-war Left and a dishonest media spread lie after lie after lie about what we were doing there!. You act like you're PROUD of that; you ought to be ASHAMED of it! To top it off, the Left, and a bunch of "journalists" more concerned with headlines and awards than telling the truth, deliberately deceived the American people about what we did there, did all they could to undermine the efforts of the troops in the field, and then put the blame on those of us who fought there! Excuse me for not appreciating those actions. Our nation has been cursed with the defeatist attitude that came from that stolen victory ever since, and has suffered for it. We did not fail; America, lied to and bamboozled by the Left, failed us! You people undermined our country, and now, you're ready to do it again; you won't even stand by the president YOU elected! Shame on you!

BLOG COMMENT OF THE DAY: What I Like About Obama.

Obviously, the biggest problem with Bush was sending the military into an Arab Muslim country that hadnÂ’t even attacked us. Among the several things that made that offensive were
* the rush to war – it was only several months after the possibility of military involvement was raised that combat operations began
* lack of United Nations sanction – only 17 relevant resolutions were ever passed before they were enforced
* lack of Congressional oversight – the President authorized the use of military force based on the flimsy pretext of a bill passed by Congress titled “Authorization of the Use of Military Force”, rather than seeking a document that had the words “declaration of war” in it; that’s every bit as bad as getting no Congressional approval at all
* obvious financial motives – clearly no one approved of the murderous dictator or sought a normal working relationship with him besides the French; at the same time, one couldn’t help but be suspicious of the fact that the population we were ostensibly protecting was located conveniently near the oil fields
* stretching our military – we were overburdened as it was, and our brave military despite its courage lacked the resources for yet another operation
* inflating our military – the only way to keep the bloodthirsty Pentagon beast fed was to give it the hordes of jobless young men who had no prospects in an economy that saw unemployment skyrocket above 4% in most states
* ignoring our generals – the decision to go to war was made by political hacks who had never worn a uniform
* inflaming the Arab Street – despite some touchy-feely talk about Islam, it was impossible for the Muslim world not to notice how the President made repeated, insistent proclamations of his Christianity, how he only ever used the military against Muslim targets, and how at the time the war started he’d kept the concentration camp at Guantanamo open for over a year
* wasting money – it was completely irresponsible to commit the military to an expensive mission when the President’s fiscal mismanagement had resulted in a budget deficit of over $150 billion in 2002

But anyway, what I really like about Obama is that heÂ’s gone 29-3 in his bracket picks over the first two days. You have to spend a lot of time watching college basketball to be that good.

I couldnÂ’t do that well.

Just WOW!

They are jumping on the chance to get rid of the guy....and why wouldn’t they?
Bush had authorization from the US Congress to go to war in Afghanistan and Iraq. Obama has authorization from the only legislative body he recognizes: The United Nations. This is a time for them to act and get rid of a usurper who's allegiances clearly is not to the United States.

Democrats Catching Impeachment Fever Say Obama's Actions Unconstitutional
Democrats catching impeachment fever? « Hot Air

If nothing else, Dennis Kucinich is consistent. He wanted to push articles of impeachment against George W. Bush and Dick Cheney over the Iraq war, which his own party’s leadership squelched in the summer of 2008 — when Bush’s term had all but expired anyway. Kucinich and John Conyers instead had to settle for “impugnment hearings,” which one witness called “slightly demented.”
