I wouldn't say he's worse than Saddam, the thing with Gaddafi is that with Libya's oil wealth he's able finance projects in Africa which lessens Western influence and involvement in Africa. The more pan-African and self sufficient African becomes the worse for Western countries looking to exploit the continent and control it via the IMF and World Bank.

I hear ya. I just saw a loony Leftist/Democrat on TV claiming Gaddafi had to be bombed because he was much worse than Saddam Hussein. That spin is obviously weak & ridiculous. No excuse can be made for these bombings and lets not forget that Iraq was invaded on information known to be false by the Germans who warned the Americans in advance. These bombings are in support of the rebels, not innocent people.

Military action is a UN decision and not a Obama decision. Unlike Bush's unilaterally invading Iraq and Afghanistan. These are truely Bush's illegal wars.
Obama did not make the decision to launch US missiles. These missiles are kiling innocent Libyans and we should let Libyans take care of Ligyan's problems. Iraqis should have been left to deal with Saddam. NOT BUSH.
