So in spite of the promise not to cut SS benefits

Trump plans to eliminate the taxes on SS. This will help those who pay those taxes now, but it will hurt future retirees as it will reduce SS revenues. I have no problem paying the tax as I have other income sources. It is frightening to think that the SS Trust Fund will be depleted in 8 years. From there it will be 'pay as you go' and benefits will likely have to be cut unless a fix is made to maintain the current level of benefits.
Taxes on SS amount to pocket change for the individual.

But removing that funding hurts the system you claim is already short of funds

Just stupid

Civil war veterans should have their Social Security benefits revoked.

Call me cruel.
No CW veterans are collecting SS, clown, & stop listeng to the Musk rat.

Pull your head out of your asses, Anuses.

No one who is deceased is getting SS payments via identification theft?

Ok. You go right ahead and believe that.

Then you are very wealthy

No it’s not.

$3000 on social security is someone in about a 25% tax bracket who pays income tax on $12,000 in SS benefits. That would be $24,000 in benefits ($2000 per month).

To hit the 50% mark there has to be $25,000 to $34,000 in other income as over that the tax rate on 85% of SS.

That’s an income range of $49,000 to $58,000. That’s not overly wealthy.

Holy fk lol, how could anyone take you seriously?
They gave Trump immunity, no one else did that.
They gave corporations permission to give an unlimited amount of $$$ to political campaigns.
They made abortion legal.
Then they gave the states the right to make it illegal.

Under $44K you owe no Federal tax if I am correct. So you get taxed on what you make over that amount anyway. Additionally you only taxed on a percentage of your Social security earnings .

In order to pay $3K on the SS… you would have to have a pretty good income.

Much higher than the average retiree
