I merely asked the question. If one independent federal agency can be gutted by EO, then why not any of them? I did not say he would gut Social Security. That is not to say a future president may not want to attempt to gut Social Security or other federal agencies. The precedent has now been set by Trump.

Based on certain comments below I am only asking a question why couldn't Trump gut and dissolve Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare by EO just like he did with USAID, another independent federal agency..not that he would gut them...not yet anyway

You are missing the point. The point is Trump or any future president can gut or change a federal agency because Trump has set the precedent. Under Project 2025, social security, Medicare and Medicaid are subject to radical change. For instance, Project 2025 says all Medicare should be privatized. Can Trump do it by EO? MAGAs apparently say yes.
