I live almost as far from Canada as you can get in the US, and we have recently acquired about 35 Canadas they stay here in the area year-round. About 30 miles down the road and deep off into ranch territory, there are some Greater Canadas that stay here all year.

Those Greater Canadas are some big geese.
We get enough "specks" to goose hunt, and pretty much leave the Canadas alone, because they are kind of cool even though they can get noisy.

Nah, we generally don't mess with wildlife when we don't need to, and I would imagine they are just as mean as a female gator if you get anywhere near her "nest". They even run the bull gators off before the eggs hatch.

I have been driving down the road and seen a pair walking along between the traffic and the ditch with a trail of young ones in tow, so we will have some more around here as the years go by, I am sure.

I know that losing power is more serious, but the NFL may not be happy about it with the potential for a lot more. However, more people will stay home also and may watch the games.

The good part, for us, is not a ghost of a chance business will open tomorrow, so today is like Saturday. And then for the wife, who is a director at school corp. - they are not working till at least Wednesday. So, yes, there is enjoyment here.

Yeah well, I am trying to.

I will take "dry cold" and snow, over "wet cold" and ice any day.
Shit, I lived in Germany for three years, and Korea through one winter, but this shit can be miserable here.
Don't get me wrong though, because Fort Riley Kansas can kind of suck when the wind gets to blowing as well.
