this is actually episode 13.
you are very good at predicting things miss butterfly,

you will find out just how spot on you are very soon in the next couple of upcoming episodes.
This was a unique episode in the fact i think it is the ONLY one that EVER focused and evolved around pete.

as i have said many times it is a tragedy of justice that the show pretty much ignores pete the whole time and acts like he is not there and puts so much screentime into Chloe instead,

a character who was NEVER even in the superman comics.sure would like to tell these creators of his show what jerks they were for doing that.
yeah sense he is around the krypotonite all the time now,it affects your personality in a bad way.
No I did not notice that on the kryptonite off those bystanders in the race,i will have to pay attention to that next time, now that you mention it i think you are correct, that it promotes crime without regrets,we have seen many episodes in the past where people who are not bad people do harm to others and its because they are always around the kryptonite. the writers are not very consistant because as you recall,in the first seasonLLana was always wearing a necklace that had krptonite in it but it did not affect her, these writers have shown so many times they dont know what the hell they are doing.
John as always, delivers in a very believable performance making you feel sorry for him what he is going through.
I have to totally disagree with you that clark stealing the car that the person dying falls on clarks shoulders for him at fault,It falls all on PETES shoulders because clark had no choice,he had to make the car lose gas or pete was going to die and clark had no way of knowing that the guy would die once he saved pete by fixing it so the car did not get to 100 mph. That is all on Pete because clark asked him to stop at one point and he did not listen and kept on. Yeah for Pete of all people to not care less about almost killing his mom,i think its pretty safe to say the kryptonite has him under a spell.
Have to disagree here with you as well on clark being a hypocrite. As I just said,it was because of PETE that someone died. Pete stood by clark during that time but clark never caused anybody to die during that time, major difference here.
Because of petes irresponsibility and insistance to feel like he had to compete with clark for special powers and lying to clark about stopping, someone died, thats ALL on petes shoulders,he totally caused that.I would have been pissed at pete as well for lying to me and also waked away at the end. Yes clark COULD have robbed a bank to save petes life but clark knows right from wrong and he cant do that. Lex being Lex of course would not help clark out so clark at the last second with no time, had to think of someway to save pete.
I wouldnt say he stole the car, just BORROWED it without his permission the fact he returned it. we could tell from what Lex said,he knew clark BORROWED from him without his permission without saying so basically telling someone took his car and then later returned pretending he did not know it was clark, very clever of lex to give clark a HINT he knew he BORROWED his car without his permission basically stealing it i guess without telling clark he knew it was him.
I enjoyed the way this episode wrapped up at the end.for a change, one of the more realistic episodes, I mean that by the fact some of these episodes are TOTALLY unrealistic like with the way clark has acted towards chole and Lana in the past when he wore the red ring,he acted like some total crazy nut and was hostile towards them and we all suppose to believe its all okay and and we can move on and forgive and forget the whole thing when its not like that in the REAL world at all,ONLY IN THE MOVIES.
This one however, for a change did NOT do that and kudos to them for that.I liked the idea that after pete tried to get things patched up with clark he says to clark-so you want to shoot dome hoops? and clark puts the ball down and walks away and says-Not today pete.

as I said,KUDOS to the writers for that.

That was far more realistic to that real world with clark walking away from pete and going into his house than other episodes in the past where Lana forgives clark and everything is just all hunky dory and we can forget and move on. Uh uh,thats not how it works.one more time,ONLY IN THE MOVIES.
Pete caused clark to have someone die because he had to save pete from being killed and because someone died, clark is rightfully so angry and pissed off at pete for not only causing someone to die because of his INSISTANCE to keep racing but also forcing clark to LIE to his friend Lex and basically STEAL from him as well and does not want to talk to him the rest of the day because of that, good for clark,.
Had the writers had clark say something like -"Sure,first one who gets to 21 wins" and they are started playing,i would have been pissed off and i would have hated this episode and would never watch that scene again.Well done by the writers FINALLY for once

Its about damn freaking time they got realistic.
