Sioux Tribe Sees Act of War In Keystone XL Pipeline Incursion.

The Sioux Nation will go to court to prevent the Keystone XL Pipeline from being built on Tribal land.

Based on treaties between the Sioux Nation and the United States dating back to 1850 and 1868 respectively, the Sioux lay claim to land(s) being set aside for where the KXL will be built.

There is also a law suit before the Nebraska State Supreme Court wherein the ranchers are challenging the building KXL on land they used for cattle grazing.

Under U.S. Law, Native American Reservations are in fact Sovereign Nations with the Right to make and enforce laws on Tribal Land.

In Canada, First Nation Peoples are also fighting the building of KXL on their land.

Yes, folks the Native Americans do have the Right By Law to decide what can and cannot be built on their land.

RePugs will bitch, whine, moan and complain about this but facts is facts.

Sometimes it just don't pay to a dishonest, low life, lying, belly crawling, scum sucking RePug.

Well, we screwed the Native Americans over once, I guess the GOP will try to do it again.

John Wayne is dead.....right?

...Under U.S. Law, Native American Reservations are in fact Sovereign Nations with the Right to make and enforce laws on Tribal Land...
True... on paper, anyway, and so long as that remains in the best interests of the United States, and moot, the very moment that the United States decides otherwise.

I wonder if that green billionaire Steyer is going to try to fund this so called lawsuit that doesn't involve their land at all.

Because he's invested in Kinder Morgan who own Trans Mountain pipeline. As far as I know he hasn't divested himself yet and they are Trans Canada's competition.

Have to track that down. Up here we have a lot of American money flowing into the Tides Foundation. They fund the so called environmental activists who are professionals.

Sure the tribes will lose out on any money that can be made from the pipeline because liberal trash from the East coast "ordered" them to block Keystone on their land......good little slave Indians. Here's some booze....

And therein lies the rub.

The GOP is suppose to all about State's Rights and "Small Government". Which means they are by their own political philosophy bound to respect the of the Native Americans to prevent KXL from being built on their land. There is also the issue of Nebraska Cattle Ranchers. Who while being Conservative, don't want KXL built on their land.

RePugs will either stand up for their political beliefs (which mean supporting the Native Americans and the Ranchers) support their big oil buddies.

It doesn't cross the rez. Rosebud has no standing. Check the maps that are out there.

By posting this you've destroyed much of your credibility while muddying up what would otherwise be a decent message. If you didn't include the latter garbage more people would be willing to take that message seriously.

As if the prog gave a flying f...k about native Americans. Once again the prog propensity to use people to promote their agenda is clear for all to see. After the last election I would think you people would be a little humble but no the progs have no shame.

Mooted, until January, 2015, once the new Congress is sworn in, perhaps?

The Sioux are a Sovereign Nation. Which means the Sioux Nation has the right to decide for themselves if they want KXL on their land....which they do not.
Yeah... on paper, but that 'sovereign nation' happy horseshit only goes so far in the real world, when strategic interests and big money are at stake.

Just some of the pipelines in the good old USofA. Looks to me that the NAs missed the boat in stopping them on tribal land.
