Single payer system within 7 years

"Single" payer...........

Ah , some mysterious entity who is the benefactor of all .....

Or perhaps a government monopoly run by corrupt civil servants unburdened by the ideas of effeciency, cost, and accountability......

Altruism and Higher Taxes for all !!!!!!!!

Are you under the impression that you are, by historical standards, suffering under high levels of Federal taxation?
Ummm... "historical standards" are meaningless, I'm suffering under intolerable levels of federal taxation based on what I get for my fiat currency; you know, that old, antiquated concept of VALUE.

Be honest....did you cast any votes for Scrub?.
Nope, I don't vote for candidates from the two major crime families, ever, yet I'm still on the hook to pay for the federal financial imbroglio all the partisan, government worshiping douche bags created and as an added bonus my children and grandchildren get to pay even more for it.
"historical standards" are meaningless,

WAIT FOR IT!

I'm suffering under intolerable levels of federal taxation based on what I get for my fiat currency; you know, that old, antiquated concept of VALUE.

Bet no one saw THAT coming, eh?

I've been asking many of your fellow primitives to recall the last time they read anything longer than 5 paragraphs....

Not one has been able to....
LOL, what happened you overdose on your babbleatrin this morning or something? or did the application of reason just send you right over the edge?

Apparently anything other than a binary R/D argument is just too much for you to handle, don't fret though, you have millions of mindless partisan lemmings to keep you company.

You be sure to tell your grandchildren how you stood idly by while Supply Side Hucksters pillaged the Treasury and borrowed against their futures..........to, among other things, impose a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO HEALTH CARE on the people of Iraqnam (who, to their credit, bravely resisted)
Wake me up when/if you respond to what I actually wrote, instead of responding to what the voices in your head told you I wrote, K?

Ciao

45% of the words of the post in question are YOURS. I just employed a few of them to illustrate the rigor of your "thinking".....

Wake me up when/if you respond to what I actually wrote

you mean like

"Nope, I don't vote for candidates from the two major crime families, ever"

"If it is good enough for people over 65, it should be good for all,"

By logical extension, if gassing all of the prisoners in Hitler's prison camps was good enough for them, then it should be good for all!

Or,

If bread and water is good enough for inmates on death row, then it is good enough for you.

Maybe FJO, Medicare /isn't/ good enough for people over 65, just that they get NO CHOICE.

There is nothing logical about your "logical extension except that you area bloody idiot.

Medicare is available to ALL over 65, even if they are millionaires, so choice has nothing to do with it.

BTW people on death row probably eat better than you.

The GOP acted like a bunch of Dims yesterday as they tweaked, not repealed, Obamacare. They were not even very sure what was in the bill, Nancy Pelosi style. They did not even wait for a CBO analysis of what exactly they were voting for. Then they all went to the White House to celebrate like a bunch of retards. Of course, the main objective in Washington is simply to "get things done" that work 100%, 100% of the time for 100% of the population. This is nothing short of a socialist mentality. And since socialism is nothing but a never ending quest for the unattainable, the drum beat will continue for a single payer system

Again, if you've ever had to argue with an insurance company to get treatment after they have your money, you would't say anything so retarded.

The reason why we will probably have single payer at some point is because the current system of corporate greed can't be maintained. Not with an aging population.

The government turns down more people than private insurance.

So long as we have to beg to either insurance or the government there will be people being turned down in droves.

At the VA if veterans are too sick and expensive to treat they just put them on secret death lists.
If they are "secret" how do you know?

Exactly.

Well apparently you don't keep up with the news. A while back a doctor blew the whistle with the hospital that they worked at and made people aware of the secret off the record list of veterans who they felt they did not have enough resources to treat. After all, they were very sick and likely to die anyway, so they just were ignored.

The said doctor wrote a letter to John McCain. You know John, Mr. GOP veteran. Well shortly after he was notified the doctor was fired and the case ignored. If it were not for an obscure Congressman from Florida the scandal would have been swept under the rug.

That's how close we have become to state endorsed euthanasia.

Obama addressed the scandal how he addressed all scandals. He said he just heard about it on the six o'clock news and said he was sorry, and he fired one man in the VA who had nothing to do with the scandal.

Medicare is a single payer system,

If it is good enough for people over 65, it should be good for all,
IS it really good enough??? Really.....IF my dad and mother in law had to depend on it they'd be bankrupt

Let me clue you in to some facts......The VA operates under a finite budget......it came under considerable strain as two groups began to rely on it, ageing veterans of Vietnam, and a flood of people with very costly issues relating to their participation in the liberation of Iraqnam. These were the subject of several IG reports starting back in 2005.......Unwilling to bear the economic and consequent political costs of his entirely discretionary military adventure, Scrub not only shortchanged Veterans at every turn, he also paid NO attention to the IG reports.....

Finite resources oblige difficult resource allocation choices.......If you think, for even one minute, that hospitals don't make such "cost/benefit' decisions on an hourly basis, you are living a fairy tale.....

The way things are going we'll be bankrupt as a nation anyway, it'll just happen sooner with single payer than without cuz I am certain that the pols won't tell us the truth about the cost and we'' be adding enormously to the debt more than we already are.

On Fox News, Charles Krauthammer predicts America will have single-payer health care within 7 years

The recent passage of a tweak on Obamacare by the GOP is viewed with disdain by pretty much everyone, just like when the Dims passed Obamacare and were rounded up and thrown out of office.

According to some, however, this will only lead to a single payer in a very short time.

Couldn't agree more. And the Dems breathed a huge sigh of relief when that bill passed the house, because they know the Repubs now own healthcare and all the shit to come.

I kind of agree with Kauthammer except I think it may take a little longer than 7 years. If the Democrats takeover congress and the oval office in 2020 it probably will be within 7 years.
If we are not going to have a free market with heathcare, we may as well go to single payer. Obamacare and Trumpcare both suck worse.

The GOP doesn't own anything yet. The Senate will devour that pathetic bill and what comes out the other side will look completely different.

And besides that the DEMOCRATS are solely responsible for this mess because they SINGLE HANDIDLY CREATED IT.
