Singing the Star Spangled Banner in Spanish at Los Angeles Dodgers game

She is American. She was born in the Bay Area California.
English is not the official language of either California, or the US, and this is a nongovernmental event. But as noted, now I want to hear it in Lakotah or Cajun French. :springbed:
Sounds like it’s time for President Trump to issue an Executive Order making English our official language.

Why did she apologize? And why apologize in English?

If she's too ashamed to sing in English shouldn't she be saying, "Lo siento"?
this apology

After her "Star-Spangled Banner" performance at the LA Dodgers game, Nezza addressed the moment on social media. “I’ve sung the national anthem (in English) many times in my life,” she said. “But today out of all days I could not, I’m sorry.” She added that, given the current climate—including intensifying immigration raids that continue igniting concerns of racial profiling while targeting Latino communities, in addition to protests against them and ICE in LA—singing it in Spanish felt like the only choice that made sense.

They hate America and everything it has always stood for. They see an event like this as a way to further divide us and to weaken our nation, so they are all for it. Language is one of the key ways they will bring this country down.
Exactly. It was always unifying when I went out and knew I could communicate with every American. Now there’s a language barrier, and the leftists are pushing it even further.

See? That’s the problem, and what I referred to upthread. She is using the National Anthem to send a message opposing the deportation of illegal aliens, and villifying law enforcement. THAT is why she sung the American Anthem in Spanish: “we side with he best interests of illegals, and against the best interests of Americans.”

Of course, I didn't think she would be so stupid as to admit it.

Thanks for adding nothing that was not already known.

Why did she feel the need to apologize? And to whom did she apologize? And why apologize in English if she's so ashamed of the ******* language now?

What does that have to do with anything? You made up a scenario, and are now arguing why it is right or wrong.

I just explained. We don’t expect people to accept such blatant disrespect to our National Anthem.

Who is "we" and it is NOT Amy's National Anthem.

What does AMY have to do with this? You’re not even making sense.

The singer used the National Anthem to signal her support for illegal immigrants and against Americans who are harmed by their presence.

And you, another leftist, has no problem excluding white, English-speaking Americans from enjoying our National Anthem because we don’t speak Spanish.
First time I ever saw 'enjoy' and 'national anthem' in the same sentence. Doesn't the government have to pay professional sports to play the Anthem before a game? Can we sing it in Old English? SHould we turn off all the toilets and block the exists during the song for proper respect?

Can we sing James Brown's Living in America instead?

I asked you if you would show the same response if a Jewish Performer with British citizenship sang the Star Spangled Banner in Yiddish at baseball game in LA. And you have danced around the response.

Yes I am sure she did it to stir a ruckus. I am sure whoever paying her, did not want her to start that ruckus. I also imagine that, unless you were at home you couldn't hear the difference anyway.

No, I didn’t. I said it would never happen.

Why is that
Because Jews aren’t streaming in illegally, and leftists defending them from being deported (just the opposite - they’re ASSAULTING American Jews), and then no Jew would have the chutpzpah to get up, in defiance, and sing the National Anthem in Yiddish.
