Canadian national anthem booed before Ottawa Senators, Nashville Predators hockey game

Yep, I knew we would piss off the patriotic ones from TN, Texas or some other state.

I would never boo another nations anthem, that's too far for me to go. This is obviously a response to what the citizens of Ottawa did a few days ago. Canadians never see the forest through the trees.

For the polite people of Nashville to do this, people far more polite than the average broke citizen in Ontario; this is startling.

American hockey fans in Nashville put their country on the board in the anthem booing contest that’s been an unexpected fallout of recent U.S.-Canada trade tensions.

Though it wasn’t as long or as loud as some of the jeers audible amidst the din of applause and cheers during the singing of the U.S. national anthem at four previous sporting events in Canada — three NHL matches and one NBA game on Saturday and Sunday — a healthy congregation of boos could be heard as ‘O Canada’ began Monday night at Bridgestone Arena in the Tennessee capital.

They lasted only a few seconds before the crowd fell silent for the remainder of elementary school teacher Cathy Mullins’ performance and there were more cheers than not at the end. Country star Luke Bryan went on to perform ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ and was cheered lustily by the country-crazy Nashville crowd.
National anthems before every game is stupid. Two is twice as stupid.

Trump invites Stanley Cup winners, Fla. Panthers, to the W.H. Who needs Canada when a state with no ice can sponsor a winning hockey team?

People in Canada are being sent to gulags?

Give me a break
The analogy goes straight over your head.

In East Germany there were citizens killed by border guards for the crime of trying to sneak into a free country called West Germany. Would you support this?

There men in Canada and the U.S who have been framed and done lengthy prison sentences for a crime they didn't commit, no consequences for those along the way who sent him there. Are they also to blame for their life being stolen?

You are ignorant and poorly advised if you haven't read my story on here. Whether it's Trump being unfairly targeted, or the poor black kid down the street being entrapped for some b.s, people in authority abuse their power all the time. A blanket "blame everyone else for your decisions" is shallow, short-sighted and grossly misses the mark,.
