Yeah, when I read the OP, Poland immediately came to my mind as well.

I expected someone to mention this earlier but I suspect they feared they wouldnt be able to explain:

Poland:

• High-tax welfare state
• Universal healthcare
• EU regulation
• Worker protections
• High government spending
• Open borders within the EU (2 million Poles live/work in Western Europe)

Nothing about this resembles low-tax, deregulated RW/MAGA policy.

Poland is not a top performer in the metrics:

• Happiness: rank ~39th (far below Scandinavia)
• Health: mid-tier
• Education: mid-tier
• Freedom: declined sharply under PiS
• Opportunity: mid-tier
• Wealth: not top tier

Liberal democracies have dozens of successful examples. But I am interested in what nations implement the right wing dream of government that Trump's policies desire to implement. Where in the world can we look for successful implementation of right wing principles of government? Surely someone must have examples of these policies working.

Just for thought starters I pulled the rankings of key metrics of success for countries. Surprisingly they are replete with liberal democracies with high taxes, strong welfare states, and high social trust..

Please keep the flame wars to a minimum. Just looking for a discussion on where the right wing is killing it in success world wide.

There are lots of examples of non-diverse cultures sucking ass as well. You are cherry picking. Its not the diversity level, its the governing model and natural resources that drive success.

But the diversity level constrains the type of government you can have. Governments styles that are more ubiquitous and pervasive (like socialism and fascism), requite greater conformity. One of the factors that kept the US more free than other countries is that such conformity wasn't an option. The melting pot basically requires freedom. If any one group takes the reigns and tries to lord it over the others, everything falls apart.

And that's really what's happening now. Both parties have taken up the culture war as their top priority. But, because we're not homogeneous, that just doesn't work. Live and let live. Or we won't live long.
