Zone1 Should welfare recipients be prohibited from buying cruise vacations?

Your opinion of what kind of a Jew someone is based on how they vote is immaterial. The fact is Jews vote between 70% and 88% for Democrats depending on the year and the election.

Republican Party is full of antisemitic, white nationalist, racist, leaders and followers. It is the worst party in America for Jewish Americans and that is why they overwhelmingly vote against that racist xenophobic antisemitic party.
Actually, the antisemitism is MUCH more prevalent on the Left. It is the worst party for Jews, what with the “No Jew Zones” and “Death to Jews!” chants on liberal campuses, a Senate candidate with Nazi tattoos, and the antisemitic Squad members in Congress.

And it’s not a matter of opinion as to what type of Jew votes what way. It is a FACT that among observant Jews, the majority vote Republican; and for the secular, they vote for the Democrat.

IOW, the more closely a Jew identifies with Judaism, the less likely he is to vote for the Pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel Party.

The vast majority of observant Jews vote Republican.
I’m not seeing that. As a working musician, I work with lots of Jewish musicians and are all hardcore democrats. One is even fairly orthodox in that he won’t gig on certain jewish holidays and was set up with his wife via Jewish matchmaking. He’s among the most ardent democrats I know.

I have an absolute ton of posts that call out antisemitism. All the attacks against Soros. All the white nationalist attacks on Jews. Heck the one thing Ted Cruz and I are 100% aligned on is that there is a lot of antisemitism on the right.

How silly. Criticizing Soros is not antisemitism.

Sheesh.

If parents cannot afford to feed their children without responsible taxpayers giving them money for it, then how can they buy a cruise vacation? If reality, taxpayers are paying for the cruise because the welfare recipients didn’t have to pay for food,

Of course, this would be hard to enforce. Perhaps a workaround would be a minimal credit score of say, 500, in order to board. Most welfare recipients I’ve worked with (when I volunteer taught financial literacy) had abysmal credit scores, and some with $10,000 debit.

If cruises limited guests to people who feed their own families, we’d see less of the brawls like like these:

Farmers get welfare and do go on vacation.

That’s true. Also cigarettes and alcohol.

Someone in my financial literacy class would dump her illegitimate children - all on food stamps and no fathers paying support - with her mother at least twice a week to hang out in bars and drink. I tried to convince her to take that $100 a month and put it toward paying off her credit card debt, to no avail.

You can understand why I quit in frustration.
Do you have the vapors yet?!

Why don't we just put them all on a boat and 'cruise' them to Canada?

You can’t determine that based on your own personal sample. Polling shows the majority of observant Jews vote Republican.

MY personal sample confirms it. I joined an Orthodox shul to get away from the hard-core leftists at a less religious Synogogue. They were just brutal to Republicans. Not so with the Orthodox one,

The Antisemitism Lurking Behind George Soros Conspiracy Theories

In far-right circles worldwide, Soros’ philanthropy often is recast as fodder for outsized conspiracy theories, including claims that he masterminds specific global plots or manipulates particular events to further his goals. Many of those conspiracy theories employ longstanding antisemitic myths, particularly the notion that rich and powerful Jews work behind the scenes, plotting to control countries and manipulate global events.

The right-wing government of Viktor Orbán in Hungary have attacked Soros for years, claiming that he seeks to undermine Hungary’s national ethos. The vehemence of the anti-Soros campaigns is chilling. For example, a slew of posters that appeared in Budapest last summer reminded many observers of Nazi-era propaganda used to stir up hatred and violence against Jews.

However, such anti-Soros activity is not unique to Hungary. Soros long has been a punching bag of authoritarian regimes across Eastern Europewhere resentment lingers for his work to build democratic institutions and governments after the fall of the Iron Curtain. And voices in some liberal democracies like Israel cast Soros as a central figure trying to undermine the national interest.

In the United States, Soros long has been a favored target of the so-called alt right and other right-wing extremists. Their online echo chambers reverberate with conspiracies about Soros, accusing him of attempting to perpetrate “white genocide” and push his own malevolent agenda. In a report published earlier this year that analyzed antisemitic speech on Twitter, ADL found that Soros figured prominently in a significant number of antisemitic tweets. One noteworthy allegation claimed that Soros was responsible for the deadly “Unite the Right” rally in August 2017 in Charlottesville, Va. Other tweets referred to his Jewish heritage in pejorative terms and claimed that he’s trying to undermine all of Western civilization.

It wouldn’t be hard to enforce at all. Stop SNAP and provide food in kind, like from a food bank. Same for clothes. Stop providing money or things that can be converted to money.

I want to go on a cruise and not be subjected to uncivilized behavior like this. I said nothing about race. I said RESPONSIBLE people. Having a minimum credit score would demonstrate that, as would spending money on cruises only AFTER you can feed your family.
Since when is your credit score used for anything that is considered part of freedom?

It's Carnival. What do you expect? If you know anything about cruise lines, that is their clientele.
