It is highly unlikely that the United States will send enough military to that area to defeat Iran's Army. I believe Iran is banking on that. Logistics is a key factor.

I am also on the fence. I look at desire, logistics, ability to use force as these people claim and after looking it all over, see it would be a very difficult task in such a mountainous country. If Trump invades, he can't conquer Iran very fast. I think if he had thought he could, he would already have troops in Iran and slugging it out.

General Tommy Franks had this problem facing him in Afghanistan and he decided, correctly, to arm the Afghanis in the North, supply them with arms and a lot of money and let them fight the Taliban. Tommy also used his forces in the air to great perfection. His plan worked to perfection. I doubt Iran has a similar fighting force available that would be willing to fight the Ayatollah forces.
Trump seems hesitant to invade Iran and for good reasons.
